    For a hotel of this size it was remarkably quiet (you can't blame the hotel for a guest deciding to sing in the corridor). Our room was very spacious and the bed super comfortable. The sheets were of great quality - so lovely to sleep in. The water pressure in the shower was awesome - that's very much appreciated.The location is great - so close to City Park and the snow monkeys and the shortest walk to great restaurants.Parking in the surrounding streets was easy and free after 6pm and from Saturday afternoon.

    Stayed one night here, staff friendly and check in was easy and quick. Room in very good condition and quiet. Hotel well-located in downtown Launceston.

    Stayed two nights at Hotel Grand Chancellor while of a group tour of Tasmania. The location was very central. The hotel has a comfortable atmosphere. Our room was comfortable and clean with a very low noise level. The service in the restaurant and bar was very good and the food at dinner and breakfast was very nice. I would recommend the Hotel Grand Chancellor to anyone visiting Launceston.

    Stayed for 1 night on our way to the airport. Very helpful reception staff. Very comfortable room, beds and good sized bathroom and shower. Very tasty breakfast. Would throughly recommend

    We stayed here for a night at the beginning and end of a walking holiday which departed from Launceston.I enjoyed our stay. Some reviews mention that the hotel is old, which is true, but it is very well maintained so it is not run down and has quite an elegant atmosphere.Our room was larger than we would have expected for the price we paid (I thought that this hotel was excellent value for money).The breakfast, which cost extra, was very good - lots of choice and very fresh.The hotel is also well located within a short walking distance of anything in downtown Launceston.I would stay here again.
