    Unsatisfactory

Firstly let.me.point.out that this review is not a reflection of the front end staff as they were fantastic. We ended up in a small older room with a very uncomfortable queen bed.We found the breakfast albeit ala carte to be poor at best.We were not informed about the discount parking rate available and ended up paying $41.40 for a single night. For us not up to Mantra standard we are used to.

    Great Hotel and Well Positioned.

    rating10 Apr 2026

My wife and I stayed at this hotel on a Friday night. It was the first time we have stayed there and is situated within 100 metres of the Theatre Royale, where we were attending a show. The location is excellent and is withing walking distance to everywhere in the city. There is a public car park situated at the rear of the hotel, which has discount parking for guests at the hotel. I would highly recommend utilising this service. Very convenient and very reasonably priced. Booking on line was easy and check in was even easier. Our room was a standard room and situated on the 6th Floor with a view back over the city and of Mount Wellington. Although not one of the largest rooms we have stayed in, it was neat, clean, quiet and the bed was large and very comfortable. The fan on the air conditioning was slightly noisy, which we turned off before retiring. Staff were welcoming, friendly and very helpful. We had an issue with our television (minor I know) and staff bent over backwards to try and rectify it, without success unfortunately. They were extremely apologetic and gave us a bottle of wine for the inconvenience. Totally unexpected but a nice gesture. We would have no hesitation staying here again and highly recommend it. Greg Illingworth, General Manager at Mantra on Collins Hobart, responded to this review Hello Fletch101,Im glad to read that the team quickly rectified the TV issue in your room and that you enjoyed the rest of your recent stay. We look forward to welcoming you back the next time you are in Hobart.Kind regards,Greg

    Location

Great location with easy walking to cbd and salamander. Had paid secure parking on site. Had a studio which meant staircase die to bedroom and another staircase up to living area. Bathroom was on landing level.Only downside was the smoke from outside through the ventilation system at night. Greg Illingworth, General Manager at Mantra on Collins Hobart, responded to this review Hello smithnz,You have reviewed Mantra Collins Hotel and not the hotel you actually stayed at. We dont have studio rooms nor stairs in any of our rooms. We would greatly appreciate it if you removed thos post.Kind regards,Greg IllingworthGeneral Manager

    Great Staff. Hotel Quiet.

    rating13 Feb 2026

Check in and out was seamless. Hobart is an easy town to walk around so the position of the hotel was good and if you are hiring a car to travel around the Island, Avis is next door. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were comfortable and there are views from the rooms on the upper floors. Well stocked tea and coffee with milk in the fridge. As an Accor member a nice bottle of Riesling was provided free of charge. We were there for three nights and can recommend this hotel Greg Illingworth, General Manager at Mantra on Collins Hobart, responded to this review Dear Menzies13.We are pleased to read that we ticked the boxes for your recent stay. Central location in Hobart CBD

    rating03 Feb 2026

We booked an apartment room which was brilliant for our week-long stay - small kitchen and separate living/dining room on Level 9. The room was very clean and extremely comfortable. We didn't notice noise from any other rooms, though outside noise could sometimes be faintly heard. The Royal Hobart Hospital is directly across the road and you will hear the helicopter if it is landing/taking off. The location in Hobart CBD is spot on, being only a 10 minute walk to the harbour, and a little further to Salamanca Place. A Woolworths supermarket is only a few minutes away along with other shops. The room was spacious and clean. There is no onsite parking but you can park next door for $18 per day. There is metered parking on the street. The hotel staff were so friendly and helpful, with the guys running the foyer cafe remembering our coffee order each morning. The cafe is open in the morning for sit-down breakfast or take-away options. Greg Illingworth, General Manager at Mantra on Collins Hobart, responded to this review Dear T4160ZPmelanies,We are happy to read that you enjoyed all the aspects of your week long stay with us. The One and Two Bedroom Apartments are ideal for that extra space and facilities.I am pleased that our double glazed windows kept the city noise to a minimum.Thank you for staying with us.Kind regards,Greg IllingworthGeneral Manager
