    Launceston Waterfront Delight

    rating18 May 2026

Located overlooking the picturesque North Esk River, Peppers Seaport Hotel offers a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. The waterfront is extremely picturesque and offers a variety of cuisines ranging from Indian to traditional and fine dining. Waterfront restaurants "Mudbar" and "Rupert & Hound" are both recommended. A highlight is to cross the boardwalk to the Silo Hotel and enjoy a cocktail at Woody's Barrel Bar. The facilities were first rate as were the staff who were extremely friendly and accommodating. Clean, modern and with great views, Peppers Seaport has now become our "go-to" when staying in Launceston!

Good location but lacking gold benefits for ALL members

    rating15 May 2026

I stayed here on a corporate rate from my university. I did put in my Gold ALL number and received a welcome bottle of wine but no room upgrade (hotel now claim they were full but this was not the case - the room next to me was empty). The welcome was average. I liked the room with a view over the river (what I had booked) and it had a nice seating area. The hotel is showing its age with some scruffs and chips on walls and furniture and tired carpet. For the full price they charge, this is not good enough. I had breakfast at the Tidal Cafe which was good and I ate dinner at the other Peppers over the bridge at the Silos. I was happy I could charge back to my room as it made expenses easier. Based on my room rate of $189, I would give this four stars but I would not be paying the full rates they advertise - nearing $300 a night.

Very comfortable waterfront hotel, ideally located with restaurants and a cafe, car park on site

    rating27 Apr 2026

A very comfortable hotel on the waterfront, with a good number of restaurants and a cafe (for breakfast) on the ground floor, which compensates for the hotel not actually having its own dining facility. All apartments have their own balcony, a washing machine and dryer, full kitchen. Our room overlooked the river and it was lovely to watch the sunset over the marina and nearby Peppers Silo Hotel.Car parking on site was easily arranged; when checking in at Reception, advise how many nights parking is needed and Reception will charge $15 per night to your room. A nifty car parking pass is provided to put on the car’s dashboard for your duration.Ask Reception if you require the sofa bed made up; the three seater sofa converts to a Queen size sofa bed.

Large comfortable rooms and lovely setting

    rating20 Apr 2026

Excellent location within the city with ample parking. The hotel does not have its own restaurant, but there are several good options within the hotel. You have to get a river view, and the rooms are very spacious, with kitchen facilities. Staff are friendly and helpful, highly recommend.

Excellent Service, Central Location and Nice View

    rating14 Apr 2026

We let the hotel know we would be arriving around lunchtime. On the day of check-in guest services called at 12pm and said our room was ready and we could check-in early, this was a nice surprise. We stayed in a spacious riverview suite, with a great view at sunset. The location is central, a short walk to Riverbend Park which is ideal for children, and it was only a 10‑minute walk into town.We received a lovely welcome, complete with Tasmanian chocolate truffles on arrival and the guest services staff was friendly and offered great local tips including a map. The kitchen was well appointed and included a capsule coffee machine and a variety of coffee and tea. The only negative was if you’re staying on a Friday night, the Mudbar on the ground floor of the building has a DJ and it can be a bit loud.
