    If I could award this hotel and staff ten stars I would!Firstly, the rooms are wonderful, beds superb and the bathrooms huge and extremely well equipped. The views of the Tamar are lovely and you're a short walk to everything (with a giant children's playpark as well).The restaurant and cafe are popular with locals for good reason; fresh and delicious Archie (retired guide dog) is on hand to welcome you too, and we were lucky to meet some of the young dogs in training, prior to the kids Easter Egg Hunt! Archie supplied the eggs .... all the guest children went home with loads. So far so special, but my main praise has to be for the kindness and concern of all the staff.My husband was taken into hospital as soon as we arrived in Launceston and the front desk group made sure that our extended stay and associated problems were dealt with as quickly as possible so that we could focus on the main issue. I will not be able to thank them adequately, but this review is a small token. Thank you all so muchThis is a fabulous hotel for all sorts of reasons, but the people who work there make it really special!     Our second visit to this hotel and it was as good as we remembered. Great service and location, fantastic views of the river. Room service was nice, rooms were well appointed and beds are extremely comfortable. The showers are great. Breakfast was absolutely delicious.The Indian restaurant across the water (Spice Lounge) was fantastic, as was the Cataract Gorge cruise, all within walking distance of the hotel. A great park is just outside the hotel for the kids. I was pleased to see the hotel had organised an Easter egg hunt on Easter Sunday, although we missed out because we checked out the day before. A very family friendly place to stay.     We stayed 4 nights in the spacious Silo Premier Suite on the 8th floor overlooking the River Tamar. Comfy King bed and Blackout curtains ensured a good night’s sleep.The novel room numbers on the carpeted floor made for finding your room very easy.Dining in the Grains Restaurant was excellent for both breakfast and dinner (and a shout out to Holly who looked after us).We also enjoyed pre-dinner drinks each night at Woody’s Bar where James was behind the bar.An unexpected highlight occurred in the Car Park where some ten or so luxury sports cars were parked – being the Prancing Horse luxury cars tour.     This excellent hotel served all my needs. It is well located close to the Launceston CBD and has plenty of car parking. Staff members I encountered were efficient and helpful. My spacious and well equipped room was clean and well maintained. I slept well. The shower had excellent pressure. Food in the restaurant was of a high standard.
