    Absolutely fabulous place to stay the staff are amazing. The restaurant food is fantastic. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Bed is super cozy. Location is perfect. Make sure you add the breakfast when booking It is awesome and the breakfast wait Staff are next level they just can’t do enough for you. Plus the eggs are perfect. Anyway you choose them.

    Great hotel with a smelly problem in the bathroom

    Stayed here several times and have found some rooms have a smelly problem. There is an unpleasant stench emanating from the bathroom drains. Despite covering the drains with towels it still seeps into the room. Reception were informed of the issue but were unable to rectify. This hotel needs to engage professional plumbers urgently to power clean the drains. Otherwise the RACV Hobart is a very good hotel in an excellent location. It is walking distance to the city shopping centre and to the waterfront. The upstairs public lounge area is popular place to relax with a gas fireplace and nearby bar serving drinks and small meals. Love the original artwork hung throughout the place. Guest rooms are super comfortable with king beds and quality sheets, large TV, fridge, kettle, desk, chairs and large safe.

    Very pleasant stay here over the New Year 25/26All staff very friendly, nice rooms and good breakfast !We found parking very convenient and easy…and thought it was cheap.The hotel is within easy walk to park, different cafés and some museums.Recommend this place for grown ups.

    We chose this hotel based on price and location, if you are a member of an automobile association anywhere in Australia you get discount. Initially on our booking, the price on arrival was higher than our anticipated cost, on pointing this out to the hotel they very quickly refunded us the difference ! We were also upgraded to a big apartment room.

    Reservation disaster !

    Shocking behaviour. I rang reservations 5/1/26 Hobart and spoke to Anthony who quoted me $590 for 3 nights , said I would check with my husband and called him back 5 mins later, to be told the rate had gone up in that 5 mins and was now $660.We are members of RACQ and now will book and go elsewhere. This gouging behaviour is terrible customer service and the rate fluctuating in the period of 5 mins . Anthony refused to honour the rate he quoted 5 mins ago .Not happy and management need enforce that reservation staff are using these tactics !
