A good location close to the port and lots of choice of places to eat . First impressions weren’t good - parking is an extra cost of $15 per night , that’s not on the websites ! There is on road parking but it is metered and the receptionist couldn’t help with how it worked .Anyway , the room was ok , plenty of space and a very comfy bed . The view , even though we asked for a good view was the back of the building over looking the car park and a public parking area . The kitchen had all the appliances but lacked some basic utensils .There is a settee and chair to watch to big screen tv , quite comfy also .Bathroom ok , fixed head shower so if you want a bath you can’t wash your hair without standing up and using it as a shower . The water temp was difficult to control when showering , often going cold without touching it . One thing that annoyed was the position of the room overlooked the back of some restaurants . The bin Lorries come every day after 5am - we like to have the window open and turn the AC off but this wasn’t possible . It was like bin lorry alley with several turning up in the early hours , very noisy so windows had to be shut .Not much anyone can do about it , we’ve had this problem before at other hotels and it really gets your goat as you pay for a good nights sleep not to be disturbed.We didn’t/couldn’t use the pool . The day we tried it was busy with young kids running riot and adults slobbing around on all of the chairs ……Overall it mostly did what we needed but it didn’t sparkle and won’t be remembered for anything apart from the bin lorries .

Absolutely first rate accommodation. Loved the location, the property was right in the middle of all the action at Salamanca with plenty of pubs and eateries surrounding us. It was only a short walk to the wharf and the city centre, museums, galleries, andt the market on Saturday, etc. Great value for money and very clean, quiet, well serviced and maintained, and pretty much brilliant. Would definitely stay there again when travelling to Hobart. Perfect location, excellent service from Sophie at reception, beautiful breakfast and drinks at “Bird Song” and just a short walk to all that Salamanca has to offer. Our deluxe King Room had all the amenities we could wish for, but for those with mobility issues, be aware that the shower in is the bath. There is a rail to hold onto. We’ve stayed here before, but feel they’ve elevated the service and rooms. Very pleased with this wonderful Accommodation to spend our last 3 nights in Hobart after a 3 week drive around this wonderful island.The location is terrific and the room and friendly staff are wonderful The suite has everything you could need and the decor is delightful.Would certainly recommend to anyone visiting Hobart especially is they plan to be here on a Saturday for the Salamanca Markets as it is so close.

The apartment was a perfect size for a couple and a friend. There was a great kitchen area for snacks etc. Laundry available and an indoor pool that we used after a long day of walking and sight seeing. Lovely reception staff and parking. A short stroll downhill to the markets on Saturday and to the HOP ON HOP OFF bus stop. We drove up to Mount Wellington and got the most beautiful views. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Hobart and if we return this will be our first booking.
