    A lovely, peaceful stay

    rating25 Dec 2025

We had a lovely, peaceful stay at Stanley Village Waterfront. The rooms are typical motel style and are sufficient for a night's accommodation. The large single-pane window overlooking the bay was perfect for sitting and enjoying the view, although walkers on the waterfront often displayed curiosity, peering into the ground-floor apartment thus privacy was, at times, thin. The kitchenette offered basic cutlery, mugs and a kettle but no crockery nor toaster, preventing one preparing a simple breakfast. Check-in is via The Stanley Hotel; the process was simple. We also reserved a table for dinner at the hotel, which was a good choice. You will enjoy your stay at the Stanley Village Waterfront.

    Average Motel

    rating20 Jun 2025

There are various room types at Stanley Village with management conducted from the Stanley Hotel some 600-700 metres away. It's confusing as there are apartments and motel rooms, but the motel rooms are very standard, not particularly clean, and overpriced. Management staff could also be better trained. Problems with our credit card, even though it was prefectly fine. But unforgivable to not be informed that part of the Village was a building site meaning tradies banging away at early hours. Not restful. If we were properly informed, we may have stayed elsewhere. We also broke a glass that we were informed would be replaced. It wasn't, but our room was partially made up - something we didn't request. The Village has a great location (notwithstanding the fishy smell from Herseys next door), but there seems to be a breakdown in communication spoiling the experience. We would also avoid the upstairs rooms. The stairs look uncomfortably steep. Beds are comfortable though, the outlook nice, and the over-the-bath shower hot.

Comfy, great view but no bigger than a motel room.

The view is amazing, the bed is super comfortable and the room is clean. It is worth mentioning, this is no bigger than a motel room so don’t expect an area to sit. There are a couple of chairs, but that is it. The shower is over a bath and the rooms are a bit tired, but they are comfy. There is a laundry with free facilities that is really useful on a road trip and parking is right out front. You do get a little noise from the road and the trucks at the seafood shop in the early hours of the morning.

    Bathroom horror

    rating19 Nov 2023

We stayed upstairs & struggled with the stairs. The bathroom has the shower over the bath.Very disappointing & would not recommend to anyone aged over 50 as they would struggle with those stairs & having a shower. Despite being listed as having a restaurant, there isn't. We dined at the pub which had good choices & not expensive. However as it is the only place open at night for dinner you must book. It was packed the 2 nights we dined & the staff turned away those without a booking.
