    A true jewel of space

    rating30 Apr 2026

Located ten minutes away from Hobart's historic waterfront, lies The Corinda Collection. There is lots of character and charm here. All the little details don't go unnoticed. Set in a garden setting, this is a place to nourish your soul. Very calming.I picked the Garden Room overlooking Corinda's infamous space. Julian and Chaxi's hospitality was just what I needed. They were attentive and recommended really good local activities. From Chaxi's tasty Tasmanian breakfasts to savoring the property's space, I am glad I stayed here.

    Coach House a disappointment

    rating24 Apr 2026

We stayed in the Coach House for my husbands 50th and we were quite disappointed in what the reality of the place is compared to how it is portrayed online. The authentic feel of the place is great but it certainly is not with the money charged. The coach house has no inside/outside flow and with any of the windows on the ground floor opening either directly onto the sidewalk/road or carpark area you felt as though you needed to keep all window furnishings closed which then made things very dark and dreary. The floor boards squeak everywhere and the stairs are actually quite dangerous - my son slid down them and hurt his back. The furniture is far from comfortable with the downstairs couch so in need of replacement and the beds are not luxury at all. They were advertised as 2 x queen bed but one was double and was on castors and rolled around when just sitting on it. Under this bed was quite dirty and we found an old random sock. The house was clean but not detailed cleaned which you would expect at nearly $500 per night. The hot water had a high pitch squeal while showering and the taps in both the bathroom and kitchen were very difficult to turn on and off. Was quirky but certainly not a luxurious high end place to stay like it is advertised. It really was quite disappointing when I thought I had booked a high end self contained cottage.

    A must visit property.

Absolutely superb. Location, rooms, service and breakfast are truly first class. So very different, with a beautiful garden, and a brilliant honour bar. We loved it.

    Lovely accomodation and gardens.

    rating12 Mar 2026

We chose the Gardener's Cottage, away from the main building, and enjoyed our privacy. The main house itself was available to us for relaxing with other guests, playing games or reading. This is also where the super breakfast is served! By staying at the cottage, we had our own parking space and a separate/different street entrance to the property, which we liked. There are fairly steep stairs to get to the bedroom, and the bathroom is on the ground floor, so be aware of that. (It's made clear in the booking, but nonetheless, good to remind). This separation of the bedroom being upstairs and living quarters being downstairs made us decide to leave our luggage on the ground floor rather than cart it up. There is a charming kitchen, with all the basic cooking needs. The cottage is really cozy and the surrounding gardens are exquisite. There are topiary Tasmanian animals! Clearly a labor of love, imagination and frivolity. A very enjoyable stay.
