Amazing Madison Plaza

Madison Plaza is perfectly situated right in the city centre of Townsville. I was in town for a match between The North Queensland Cowboys v Melbourne Storm and the walk to North Queeensland Stadium is merely a few steps away. The rooms are spacious and all the comforts of the hotel can be found here. Will stay again next time I am in town.

Below is email sent to Alana 2 weeks ago, followed by various calls to the property. Alana is unjoinable and is not answering her emailsI’m writing to express disappointment and make a complaint regarding my stay at Madison Plaza Townsville.During the first afternoon, whilst looking for a power point inconveniently located behind the TV, my husband first discovered an empty drink bottle and then, alarmingly, a used syringe. Both items were removed once we advised reception, but the cleanliness of the room is in question.Later that evening, when attempting to make a cup of tea, we found the kettle was extremely foul-smelling despite washing it out and boiling clean water. The smell became overpowering within the room. After taking the kettle to reception, we were eventually supplied with an alternative, clean kettle.Today, our second day, we found ourselves locked out of our room as our swipe card did not work. During another visit to reception, I was informed that the person who checked us in had entered the incorrect checkout date. This was despite our confirmation of a two-night stay, which included an extra payment for parking for two nights.Overall, the experience is disconcerting and unpleasant.Please advise what action you will take to address this.
