    Peaceful stay to truely disconnect

    rating30 Apr 2026

We stayed 2 nights at Daintree Ecolodge and it’s the perfect place to switch off and unwind. There are no TVs, which really adds to the “disconnect and relax” experience.Breakfast was lovely each morning, with great coffee. We also did the walking tour with Rob, who was incredibly knowledgeable about the local plants and wildlife - highly recommend it.We had dinner at the on-site restaurant one night, which was very good. The complimentary laundry service was a really appreciated extra, and there’s plenty of parking available. We made use of the swimming pool during our stay and enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. It’s only a short drive to Daintree Village, where you can do crocodile river tours, grab a crocodile burger at the local café, or visit the pub (although it has limited dinner hours). It’s also a short drive to the Daintree ferry crossing if you’re heading over to Cape Tribulation. The staff at Daintree Ecolodge were all so welcoming, helpful, and genuinely lovely throughout our stay.Tip: Don’t forget bug spray!

    Unique Rainforest Experience

    rating04 Apr 2026

This was a wonderfully unique hotel in a rainforest! It was easy to find, but you'll definitely need to rent a car to get there. The staff was both friendly and helpful. Our room looked over a small creek and lots of lots of green plants and trees. My only negative thought is that I would have liked to have seen the room a bit cleaner from mold growing in the window sills and corners. Otherwise, we had an incredible stay. Bed was very comfortable and the rest of the room was very clean. The food at Julambya restaurant was second to none! Two dinners, two breakfasts and a lunch...all were spectacular! We highly recommend this for a unique rainforest stay.

Rainforest experience with top class food and service

    rating30 Mar 2026

Everything about the explode was excellent . The staff were incredibly friendly , helpful and professional, we had a slight issue on going to the room and the code wouldn’t work . The staff member sorted it out but gave us complimentary drinks for the inconvenience . The same member was very helpful in telling us places of interest and booked us into a river cruise . The food was incredible , top level . The Barramundi was cooked perfectly and the duck duo was amazing . The Octopus starter and Kangaroo Tartare were stunning . Breakfast , freshly cooked was also excellent . Rooms were really good and the setting in the rainforest was spectacular, just make sure you pack really good bug spray . Definitely worth the trip there

    Amazing. Highly recommended.

    rating03 Mar 2026

This place is amazing. The location is wonderful, set in the rainforest away from everything else but still so easy to access. We stayed in a Rainforest Villa near the creek so had the sound of water and the forest to sleep to which was great. The room was fantastic with everything you need. There is AC if needed but we preferred to leave everything open to listen to the natural sounds of the forest. There was a great bath tub on the outdoor deck which is enclosed with fly screens to keep the mosquitoes away and the side shutters can be closed for some privacy. The pool was a nice refresher during a warm day, it’s not heated but was still about 26c when we were there which is comfortable. The food here is amazing, we stayed 3 nights and ate there each evening with plenty of variety without overdoing it. Breakfast was fantastic and the coffee was awesome. Watching turtles swim in the pond and kingfishers and bats fly around nearby while you eat is something special. The staff were absolutely incredible. Every single one of them was friendly, knowledgeable and made the stay feel very personal. Great job all of you. The local area is beautiful and Cape Tribulation was a highlight. We’d love to come back one day and I’d highly recommend to others.

Authentic rainforest experience with a touch of luxury

    rating12 Jan 2026

We stayed for 2 nights in Jan 26. Great experience to stay in a canopy tree house. Facilities in the room were great and the Louvre windows allowed you to listen to the noises of the rainforest from your bed. We booked a guided walk with the hotel and local guide Bruce gave us an amazing tour of the flora and fauna- fascinating. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Food was top class including the gourmet picnic we booked with the hotel.
