Ok but would look elsewhere for accommodation next stay

    rating13 May 2026

This resort is well located along the esplanade (Williams) and the rooms were nicely appointed and presented. We requested a quieter room so were located well away from the main pool. We did ask for a higher floor room but we’re on the ground floor - it kind of felt like we were in a bat cave! As the rooms shared a common hallway with three other rooms which meant when the doors opened and shut it was super noisy. I understand it might ruin the aesthetic, but screens on any sliding doors in QLD are essential to keep bugs out - some people prefer fresh air than stale air con. We also found the casting feature on the tv while new wouldn’t connect to some streaming services. The other downside to this was being located well away from the beach and main reception which felt like a fair hike. The breakfast buffet was poor and needs improvement - bland choices and the bakery products tasted quite stale and unfresh. I wouldn’t bother paying for this again. We often went to the cafe further down Williams to the right called Espresso for a decent coffee.

    Amazing Resort

    rating03 Apr 2026

We have just checked out from staying at this hotel and have had an amazing time. I don’t usually write reviews but felt I should given I nearly didn’t book due to the negative reviews on here. We honestly could not fault much at this hotel. It was clean, with great facilities and lovely staff. The pool is perfect for kids and there is a playground right opposite the hotel, as well as plenty of restaurants within walking distance. We already cannot wait to return. If you are considering booking this hotel please do let some of the negative reviews put you off- I think these say much more about the people writing them than the hotel itself 😅 General Manager, General Manager at Peppers Beach Club & Spa Palm Cove, responded to this review Dear V7699Qrachelc,Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience following your recent stay with us. It is fantastic to read that you had such an enjoyable time and that the resort, facilities and team all contributed to a memorable visit. We especially appreciate you mentioning the cleanliness, the pool and the overall atmosphere, as well as the convenience of Palm Cove and its surroundings. It is always great to hear when guests are able to fully enjoy both the resort and the destination.Thank you also for your honest comments regarding other reviews. We understand that guests will always have different expectations and experiences, so it is very encouraging for future travellers to read balanced feedback like yours.Chris and TeamMost importantly, I am delighted to hear that you are already looking forward to returning. Needs updating

    rating29 Mar 2026

This is a pretty hotel in a pretty location. The staff is top notch. I am giving it a rating of three because 1. There are no usb ports in the room. It’s not that hard to update the existing outlets include USB ports but the hotel has chosen not to. 2. There is not a single hook for hanging one’s clothes. The closet has hangers – those nasty hangers without a hook that you can’t remove from the closet. Two of the hangers had skirt clips that were broken. 3. The restaurant was closed two days a week. General Manager, General Manager at Peppers Beach Club & Spa Palm Cove, responded to this review Thank you for staying with us and thank you for taking the to provide us with a comprehensive and constructive review. We will use these comments with our team as we continue to improve and refine our service offering.Regards

    Disappointing and underwhelming

    rating12 Mar 2026

My husband and I first stayed at Peppers Palm Cove during our honeymoon andwe recently returned to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. As Gold Accor members and Accor Plus members we were really looking forward to the stay but unfortunately it was disappointing.Prior to arrival we emailed the property requesting early check in which isa benefit offered to Gold members. We arrived at 11am and while we didn'texpect the room to be ready immediately it was disappointing that we had towait three hours despite the resort not appearing to be full. The first room we were given had a view of an overgrown tree from the balcony and swamp/wetland area on the other side which did not match the room images shown on the Accor website. The interior was also slightly different. After raising this with staff we were moved to different room which resulted in a partial pool view. Overall, there didn't seem to be any priority or recognition of our Gold status.A warning for guests staying on the left side of the resort. The wetland next door means there is significant wildlife noise overnight (frogs, ducks and birds). Louvres in the bathroom rather than a sliding window panel did nothing to dampen the noise. Our sleep was repeatedly interrupted, and weactually left feeling more tired than when we arrived.Breakfast was average at best. Small details were missing that would improvethe experience such as salt and pepper grinders, hollandaise sauce for the poached eggs, muffins and bagels. We had just spent four days at Peppers Beach Club Port Douglas and even though their buffet was smaller they included the small things to make the overall breakfast experience muchbetter. Initially we thought the issues may have been due to a power failure early morning but the following day was no better. We ended up skipping breakfast on the final day and ate elsewhere.Service at the pool bar was slow taking upwards of 15 minutes to get a drink, and it really needs two staff members to properly cover both sides of the bar area. A QR code for ordering by phone from each pool lounge chair would have made ordering food more efficient and reduced the congestion at the pool bar.Our package included restaurant vouchers to La Mesa restaurant. We waitedaround 1.5 hours for a table even though the restaurant was only half full. When we returned later most tables were still empty so we couldn't understand why we had to wait so long. If we didn't have the vouchers wewould have gone to another restaurant. Unfortunately our meal was interrupted by a fire alarm. The only real positive from the evening was that the food itself was very good. The lagoon pool was closed for part of our short stay which was disappointing and there are not enough umbrellas around the pool area to provide shade. The resort grounds appeared grimy and unloved in places - certainly not at the level expected of a 5-star resort. All of these issues added up to make our stay disappointing and underwhelming when we so looked forward to returning. Palm Cove itself is a beautiful destination with a great range of restaurants and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. We will definitely return to Palm Cove but next time we will choose a different property to stay at. General Manager, General Manager at Peppers Beach Club & Spa Palm Cove, responded to this review Dear Natalie,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback following your recent stay with us, and for choosing to return to Peppers Beach Club & Spa to celebrate your 20th wedding anniversary. It is a special milestone and I am genuinely sorry to hear that the experience did not meet the expectations you had when planning your return visit.Firstly, I would like to acknowledge your loyalty as both an Accor Plus member and an ALL Gold member. Your continued support of the brand is truly appreciated, and I am sorry if on this occasion you did not feel the level of recognition you would normally expect. While early check-in is a benefit we always try to extend to our loyalty members, it remains subject to availability and housekeeping turnaround on the day of arrival. I understand that arriving early and needing to wait can be frustrating, and I apologise that on this occasion we were unable to accommodate this benefit. While the resort may sometimes appear quieter from a guest perspective, our occupancy levels and housekeeping schedules can often be higher than they appear, which unfortunately can limit flexibility with early room access.I am also sorry that the first room allocated did not meet your expectations in terms of outlook and presentation. Our resort operates within a strata-titled complex made up of individually owned apartments, which means layouts and interior details can vary slightly between apartments within the same category. That said, I am pleased the team was able to relocate you to an alternative room, although I appreciate that this did not fully resolve your disappointment. With regards to the surrounding wetlands and wildlife noise overnight, Palm Cove and the area around the resort form part of a tropical coastal environment where frogs, birds and other wildlife are part of the natural landscape. While many guests enjoy the natural sounds of the area, I understand that for some visitors this can affect sleep and I am sorry that this impacted your rest during the stay. Over time this may change as the neighbouring block is expected to be developed with additional housing and apartments, which may reduce the natural sounds.Thank you also for your comments regarding breakfast. The reason we do not place traditional salt and pepper grinders on tables is due to the open air tropical environment the restaurant operates in. Exposure to humidity and coastal air often leads to moisture buildup, mould and salt crystallisation in grinders and shakers. To maintain hygiene and freshness, we instead chosen to provide freshly packed individual portions from the service pass. While this may appear simpler, it is designed to ensure product quality in this tropical setting. Your broader comments about breakfast variety and the smaller details that contribute to the overall experience have been shared with the team for review.I also apologise for the wait you experienced at the pool bar. We will review our break coverage and staffing during some of the busier service periods to ensure the team is better supported and that service remains as smooth as possible for our guests. The interruption during your dinner at La Mesa was unfortunately the result of a broader power outage that affected the Northern Beaches area that day. The earlier outage and subsequent power restoration created electrical issues within the outlet. While our team and technicians worked tirelessly to manage the situation and ensure guest and staff safety, it did unfortunately disrupt the flow of service in the restaurant that evening. Incidents of this nature are rare, however safety must always take priority in those moments. That said, I was very pleased to read that the quality of the food still stood out as a highlight of the evening, which our kitchen team will certainly appreciate hearing. The temporary closure of the lagoon pool was also unfortunately necessary to ensure guest health and safety following an incident involving young children that required immediate sanitation of the pool. While we always try to avoid disruptions to facilities, situations like this require us to act quickly to protect all guests using the area. While I regret that your stay did not deliver the experience you were hoping for when returning for such a special occasion, I do appreciate you taking the time to provide detailed feedback. A number of circumstances during your stay were unfortunately outside of our control, however it is equally clear that some of the points you raised could and should have been handled better on our side. Your feedback allows us to review these areas with the team and ensure improvements are made where they can be.I do hope that despite this experience, you may consider giving us another opportunity to welcome you back in the future when you next visit Palm Cove.Kind regards,Chris and Team

    Tropical Oasis

    rating07 Mar 2026

Now this is ‘the place’ a must to visit and stay. Just imagine sitting by a tropical lagoon pool with beach, sun lounges, longe tunes and an awesome pool bar. This is my heaven! The vibe is vacation, relaxation and excitement all in one. Located directly opposite the beach in the most relaxing tropical vibe town. The staff are super friendly, and make you feel right at home. This is our 3rd visit to this property. We booked the spa penthouse suites looking over the main lagoon pool, the rooms were comfortable, clean and quiet. The bed and pillows were comfortable, the soap products smell nice. Out of all the places I have visited around the world this one is high on my favourites list because of the lagoon pool, It’s also another awesome Accor property. I am super keen to come back soon. General Manager, General Manager at Peppers Beach Club & Spa Palm Cove, responded to this review Thank you for staying with us and thank you for the wonderful review. We look forward to welcoming you back for a fourth visit.RegardsTrent FitzgeraldFront Office Manager
