    Drove all the way from Cairns to have an enjoyable weekend and ended up back in Cairns the same night.Firstly I checked in, got the key and went to the room only to find it is already occupied. ( I overheard all the cleaners resigned that day prior to our arrival) Nevertheless, got a new room and was greeted with a mouldy smell but opened the doors and windows as I thought it had been closed for a prolonged period. We then went to the bar to have a drink and dinner. My partner ordered a chicken parmi and my mouth was watering for the porterhouse steak. When the food was ready and I cut into the steak I immediately noticed it to be a dark red raw and naturally smelt it. It was so sour I left it. The chef came to me and asked what's wrong with the steak and I said it smells off and he smelt it and found nothing wrong with it and said they cut it that morning which might be true if it was laying in the sun for a few days in order for it to smell that putrid. I wasn't offered another steak or any replacement and we went back to the room. I then started reading the reviews about mould and bad food and I had to check for myself and I noticed the mould on the walls and as I pulled off the white pillow case I was shocked to see the yellow stained mould pillow. I packed up and spoke to the lovely bar lady ( I think she said her name is 'Ari') she was so polite and respectful and I acknowledge that she does not have anything to do with the experience I had. I handed over my key and I left.I'll attach photos if possible.Long story short. DO NOT RUIN YOUR GETAWAY HERE!!!!

    Wanted a drink and a room. walked into the bar, poor girl who I later found out was on her first day was left alone 15 people waiting for a drink while the so called manager sat outside smoking with his other "staff" i watched as the kitchen crew tried to help but were told not to.. ridiculous Avoid at all costs!!!

    Some of the friendliest staff I have ever met! The area was beautiful, and the rooms were pretty clean. Basic amenities that get the job done. On a beautiful beach, you are not advised to swim in the water. They even have a peacock that walks around in the morning! Wifi was not included, and breakfast was not free for people staying in dorms. However, the food was delicious and reasonably priced. I recommend the Chicken Rosso!

    Fabulous food, friendly service, awesome location! Great stopover on way back from The Cape! Great food! Afternoon swim and cold beer was just what we needed after driving all day. Dinner was delicious; plates licked clean. Super friendly and welcoming staff and atmosphere.

    It was a beautiful stay at PK's. Very tidy fair priced accommodation. We had a few drinks and had a nice dance to the bustling music! Mr Sing was a very hospitable waiter, meeting all of our needs and setting a great vibe for the evening, thanks mate!!We definitely recommend visiting the perfectly located spot!
