Wished we could have stayed longer

We visited as part of a tour group and sadly had only one night. Our room was just beautiful with the deep bath. You do need to be prepared to walk to the restaurant which was fine- although I might have been nervous on my own. The loss of a star was that the restaurant struggled to provide the meal orders - not helped by our group of 30 I’m sure. However the food was delicious. This resorts has the light installation by the same artist as Uluru. Quite different. Take your time to just “be in the moment”.

We drove straight here from Ayers Rock airport and only just got to reception at 6.50pm as they close at 7.00pm. Very helpful reception staff (Sophia). Room was lovely. Spacious with luxury bath and bath salts supplied for after climbs. Bed and pillows were comfortable and the shower had good pressure.Short 10 minute walk to the Thirsty Dingo Bar for dinner. Breakfast is also served here. Bar and waiting staff all very friendly. Special thank you to Mikey behind the bar for helping us out.We had dinner and breakfast here twice during our stay. Good food and wine and desserts. They also have a Trivia night on Tuesdays. The pool was nice and quiet with dragonflies and butterflies in the surrounding gardens.

Great place to stay with everything you need!

Kings canyon is spectacular! The campground at the resort was clean and quiet. Amenities were a bit old and could do with some TLC however were generally clean. Proximity to the sunset bar and the restaurant was fantastic. Meals were reasonably priced, happy hour was great and the free entertainment very night was superb! If you’re there on a Tuesday night the trivia is a lot of fun! Pool was clean and refreshing after a hike around the canyon rim!! Great experience, wish we’d stayed longer

    Terrible experience

    rating26 Mar 2026

Arrived tired after a day on the bike in 36 deg.As a Discovery Park member I checked into the “budget room 16”Well… $130 for this?Room had the appearance of a yellow brick wall garage or a prison cell you see on tv.Nowhere to hang your clothing, the fridge seem way pass its hay day and definitely not clean. Aircon very noisy, tv only two channels tho its Imparia satellite. Mattress stinks of mould. Amenities are across like in a camp.Conditions.. putrid!Camp kitchen or what they call a kitchen.Hot water wall unit not working ( seen a previous post some 6months ago, wasn’t working back then) and still not fixed. No cutlery, crockery or any pots and pans to cook with. Not a kitchen by any standards. There is a petrol station with inflated price of course. I never checked out so fast at 6.30 of any place. Stay away. Camp in the bush instead.

    5 Star

    rating14 Feb 2026

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The location is fantastic — it was perfect to have a gas station right next door, which made everything very convenient. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, making us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. The room felt like a true five-star experience — clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The food at the only restaurant on site was delicious and exceeded our expectations. Even though you truly get that authentic outback feeling, there was absolutely no lack of comfort.Highly recommended
