  Outdoor facilities let us down.

  We had a great family reunion over Easter. The accommodations units were great, but our BBQ get-together were not. We could have done with more room in the BBQ area for the kids to play, but the main problem was the unreliability of the BBQs themselves. They continually cut out and did not cook our food properly - very frustrating!

  Broadwater Resort is perfectly located near the beach. The service from Paula, the receptionist was exceptionally helpful. She’s friendly and professional. Thanks again for your help in giving us all the places of interests. We truly had a great time at Margaret River !!!   Wonderful.Clean and comfortable.Only problem was distance our car was parked from accommodation due to our age and disability but we had a cart to carry luggage which was a lot .That is the only complaint as this was first time at resort.So clean and comfortable,especially the couches.They were nice and firm not baggy as most others are . Loved the place ,even had a free upgrade.   Affordable and clean!

  Unsure what to expect and worried about the cleanliness, however very happy with our chalet. The reception staff are helpful and friendly. The heater had been put on earlier in our chalet, so when we entered it was lovely and warm, so very appreciated! The beach is very close by with a great walking/cycling path. A small shopping complex is also a short walking distance away. Great facilities, though too cold for us to use the pool, including the heated inside pool, though others were using it. A gaming room, laundry and vending machine was close to our room. The complimentary washing machine and dryer in our room was appreciated! Will definitely return when next visiting the South West.   We were so impressed with our stay at Broadwater Resort, Busselton. From the minute we arrived until the second we left, we were treated with generosity, big happy smiles and professionalism. The resort is beautifully kept, the gardens are green, lush and well manicured. We were served by Paula when we checked in and advised that we had received a free upgrade from a 2 bedroom to a 3 bedroom apartment with a generous balcony, which was so gratefully received so our teenagers could have their own space as well as the adults. We hadn't even asked for an upgrade, it was just offered! When we mentioned it must be a lucky day as it was my birthday, Paula generously offered me a voucher for 2 free drinks at their restaurant on site, Tonic by the Bay as well as free microwave popcorn for a cosy snack. Our wonderful 3 bedroom apartment had everything you could possibly need, bath and beach towels, soap and body wash in the bathroom (however, I don't think the shampoo and conditioner refilled containers in the shower contain shampoo and conditioner, I suspect it is just body wash so BYO hair products which thankfully we had) There is a hairdryer, plenty of toilet paper for the duration of your stay, a fully appointed kitchen with enough plates, bowls, saucepans, pots, utensils, washing up cloth, plenty of dishwashing detergent, dish towel, microwave, toaster, kettle, sandwich maker, crockery, dishwasher (with dishwashing soap provided), a washer and dryer with washing detergent provided, two very comfortable couches, a 6 seater dining table and chairs, coffee table and tv in the main living area. The curtains block out the sun very well and offer excellent privacy with white, light curtains for during the day and heavy, dark curtains for the evening. The fridge / freezer is large sized with plenty of room for a long stay to fill with goodies from the local supermarkets just a short distance away. There is complimentary, tea, coffee and sugar. No need to stock up before you get here, everything is available close by. You can ask for single beds or for the beds to be put together for a very large double / queen. The bedding was so soft and luxurious, it made it very difficult to get out of bed in the chilly mornings. There were extra blankets in the cupboards. There is a heater in the main dining area which services the whole apartment and keeps it super cosy. On site, you can play tennis for free with 2 courts available. There was an outdoor pool (too cold for winter for us!) and a beautifully warm indoor pool and spa - very well utilised by us! There is a fantastically appointed games room with a pool table, pinball machine, air hockey, skill testers and a few other games, I think I counted 9 machines in total. Don't worry if you didn't bring change - there is a change machine in the arcade room for your notes and the games are very reasonably priced at between $1 - $2 a piece, we played for hours! There is a vending machine with yummy chocolates, chips and soft drinks available - fully stocked and ready to go at very reasonable prices (@$3 each). There are free bbqs to utilise and a great outdoor area to sit and eat at. The beach can be accessed through a private gate and you can walk for miles each way out of the resort on lovely paths. The beach is opposite the resort, but as it was the middle of winter, a bit fresh for us to swim in. We appreciated the buggy's to carry our belongings to and from our car and apartment so we didn't need to make more than one trip. Considering the amount of units here, it is surprisingly quiet! The cars are securely parked in the resort parking which can only be accessed with a key / fob. There is even a book swap library in the beautiful reception area, they have just thought of everything. Every staff member we came into contact with was so lovely and friendly and happy to help with any queries we had. We were also given a late checkout after asking if one was available which again is so appreciated. We can't wait to come back again, next time in the summer. Even though it was winter, we were really lucky with the weather. It didn't rain once so we were able to enjoy everything the resort and wider Busselton had to offer including Forest Adventures for the teenagers, the Yallingup Maze and Mini Golf, a trip to Margaret River to the chocolate factory, vineyards and breweries and a trip to Dunsborough Tavern to enjoy the Tuesday night quiz! We loved the recommendations from the resort for eating out, all their suggestions were spot on. We also attended the Busselton Leisure Centre while here (9 minutes away) which is well appointed with plenty of gym equipment, swimming pool and fitness classes. There are lovely stores a short drive away and a cinema and amazing eateries. Also this has to be one of the only resorts that accommodates dogs and there was no shortage of a friendly pooch or two to cuddle and pat while here and there was no noise from them. I suspect this is a huge drawcard for families. We just thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay here with our teens and can't wait to come again.
