Location

This hotel enjoys a great location in the historical centre of St. Johann im Pongau. Guests will find the nearest restaurants, bars and shops only around 50 m away. It is some 250 m to the railway station, about 500 m to the nearest nightspots and roughly 800 m from the tourist centre. The property lies about 900 m from the cross country ski run and approximately 3 km from the ski area. Bischofshofen is 10 km from the hotel, Hallein Salt Mines are about 45 km and Salzburg is around 55 km away.

Facility

Units include 5 junior suites, 3 apartments, 3 single rooms and 46 double rooms located in a 3-storey main building and a 3-storey auxiliary building. English- and German-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and drinks machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel offers various facilities for guests with disabilities. There are a number of shops as well.     Stayed with a tour group.All the staff are a family team, happy and obliging. Traditional style, with some nicely designed amenities.Good choice of food, to accommodate all tastes. Relaxed atmosphere.Tip. The road and cafe/ restaurant/bar can get noisy into the early hours. Balconies on 3 sides, with nice views.     A beautifully presented hotel, with excellent facilities, great food and helpful, friendly staff. I was travelling by myself and was made to feel very welcome by all of the staff.My room was large, comfortable and very clean and I really appreciated the small touches like the fruit bowl and robes.The breakfast was excellent, lots of fresh and local produce. Evening meals were superb and excellent value, quality ingredients with imaginative cooking and well presented.The pool and spa area were squeaky clean, beautifully maintained and most welcome after a day on the slopes.Thank you for looking after me so well, and for an amazing stay!     Fantastic ski holiday hotel

    Lovely hotel for our family group of 11, staff are welcoming and professional. Food is great especially breakfast, lots of choice. Swim and gym facilities were very good. Lots of effort made by hotel team for New Year’s Eve. Added bonus is regular ski bus to Alpendorf lift with bus stop straight outside.     Lovely family hotel

    I went with a tour group of 30 people so we used most of the hotel rooms as everyone had their own room. It's a very pretty hotel in a good location. Breakfast was the usual, cereals, bread, eggs, fruit, yogurts, etc. Our evening meals were also taken in the dining room. We had a 4 course set menu each night with 2 main course choices and a vegetarian option. I wouldn't say the food was amazing. It was adequate though I guess the hotel were given a budget. There is also an al la carte which I'm sure is better. The best part of the hotel though is the staff. Such lovely, attentive waiters and receptionists who couldn't do enough for you and always smiling. The next best thing was the heated, outdoor pool. Several of us used it often as it is a wonderful feeling swimming when it's snowing. There are loungers inside and 2 lovely hot showers. A very nice family hotel.     The restaurant is located near the train station, and you should consider a steep uphill walk after your meal. However, if you want to experience some traditional Austrian dishes, this restaurant is worth a visit. The food is rich and tasty. The service is accurate, and the staff is friendly.
