A most wonderful place - home away from home .

    rating15 Jan 2025

Just a wonderful place- destination on its own .Der Kirchenwirt is an excellent proposition and a destination of its own . The traveler Have booked here last minute and it was just wonderful. From the very welcoming (late) arrival to the early departure - perfect in any sense .The Property is owned (and managed ) by a very able Couple; Hans & Veronika Riser. Together with their son Daniel and with the assistance of their very excellent and attentive staff Veronica and Hans are just on top of it . Making the guest feel at home and as comfortable as possible is clearly a priority . Whilst very “Austrian “ , nothing is too difficult . True Hospitality in heart and nature .The room stayed in was well and appropriately appointed . If something was / is required , the reception team led by two very able and attentive members ( Katrina in the Mornings and another very excellent lady in the evening whose name escaped me ) .The Bar area is an “event” on its own . Correctly priced , excellent drinks choice , great and appealing atmosphere ( relaxing but yet with a “vibe “ ) . The afternoon Soup and Cakes are elegantly served generously offered and something one expects in properties of this nature - yet , some properties forget the importance of doing it right . This property - did not . It may have been appropriate to offer also tea as part of this offering but the soup was a welcomed addition. It was something to look Forward to when coming back after a day out and a nice welcome for an afternoon drinks at the lovely bar .The Dining room , both for Breakfast and Lunch is very welcoming . The Buffet service on one evening was well presented . Whilst the menu on other evenings may be somewhat restrictive for some - the very attentive staff ( eg ‘ Paulina Kata and others whose name escaped me - and not for lack of their professionalism. They were all excellent ) , are there to assist. At the Background, The Owners are always there “checking in“, making sure everyone is having a good time . Indeed when on one evening i have kept for a brisk fresh air , the owner ( Hans ) immidiatly spotted my departure and promptly asked if everything in dinner was to my satisfaction- which of course it was . If it want’s i am sure it would have been looked to be corrected .It looked like that if a specific requirement was needed from the kitchen , they would do their best to assist . Very tuned to the modern Guest dietary requirements - yet keeping with Austrian traditions .The wet Facilities are perfect . Pool is of sensible side , Finish Sauna is properly Hot ( and with the correct essence ) , Ditto re steam room. The wet Facilities Run by a lady who seems to have been there for a while and , like the rest of the staff members are there for the guest comfort . There was a small issue with the Hamam steam - she was clearly interested to sort it out which i am sure she did . I have since departed .The hotel is spotless clean ! The service is attentive yet not intrusive. A difficult balance to strike - but at the Der Kirchenwirt they do it well . It’s a well oiled machine with positive initiative. When They heard the traveler had such an early start to his departure , Daniel has offered drop off to the train station so to allow the me having a leisurely breakfast - and another 30 min of mountain air sleep !The hotel is very easily accessible from Innsbruck and its airport. It can serve a good break also for anyone who is in the area for business and looks for few days “bridge “ in between. Wi-Fi service works very well also .The traveler is looking forward for a return visit- hopefully the standards and attention to quality will stay . It looks like a place that proud itself by maintaining those standards .

    Great hotel in Reith

    rating19 Feb 2023

Lovely short break skiing. Two families each with 2 teenagers. Food was very good. Hotel staff excellent. Rooms very good. Friday night at the shooting range is not to be missed. Swimming pool (I’m told) was great. Do ask for a room at the back of the hotel if you don’t like church bell ringing. Great holiday Johann Rieser, Marketing at Hotel Kirchenwirt, responded to this review Vielen Dank für Ihr tolle Feedback und Ihre super Bewertung. rating23 Feb 2020

I stayed at this hotel with my two sons for five days. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, our experience was outstanding. Friendly, welcoming staff - nothing was ever too much trouble. Great food and drinks. Very clean throughout. Spacious rooms. I will definitely be returning.

    No Austrian welcome

    rating02 Jul 2019

Despite other reviews on this property, we stopped for a lunchtime drink, as we have done several times before. There is no warm welcome here and three separate staff attended to either our order, bringing drinks or payment and not one showed any sign of a welcome or customer service.Previous visits have been similar.Far better to go to the Konditorei over the road.

    Half Term Skiing

    rating24 Feb 2019

Absolute gem of a hotel.Having predominantly stayed pre children in 4/5 star French catered chalets, this hotel was a stand out in comparison. From the boot-room with sledges to use, the spacious bedroom, spa with choice of 4 types of sauna, child friendly pool and play area, to the amazing service, food and value for money.Reith as a resort for beginners is perfect and we will certainly be back there and to this hotel again next year. Well done to all the team there and thank you for making our children’s first skiing experience such a great one.
