The hotel enjoys a central location on a small peninsula extending out onto the lake, Zeller See. It is 250 m from the main station in Zell am See and 45 km from the motorway. Salzburg Airport is 80 km away.

The hotel was built in 1896. The hotel has 131 non-smoking rooms, including 5 junior suites and 18 suites, which are located on 4 storeys and are reachable by lift. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. Dining facilities include a restaurant, a café and a bar. Half board is offered as a catering option. A generous breakfast buffet and dinner are served every day. One of our best experiences. A superb hotel in an ideal location. Our room was spacious with a direct view over the lake. The staff were attentive and alwayswilling to help. The breakfast wouldn't be betterd anywhere, the evening meal also ( although being British ) we found one or two of the plate combinations a little strange. As per the staff we mention Ana in reception, Marin, Laura & Davor in the restaurant for their exceptional service and attitude.

Excellent location, the room was very clean with beautiful view of the lake. Overall the atmosphere was relaxing and the stuff extremely friendly and helpful. A great, relaxing place. Fabulous hotel and service.

Superb hotel , service was excellent , the room was lovely , clean , with a fantastic view of the lake and mountains. My husband who is a coeliac was well catered for , the restaurant staff advised him daily which dishes were gluten free. Good gym , swimming pool and lovely spa areas . Transport to the ski lifts daily and return to hotel was provided . We could not fault our stay here everything was excellent . It might be a bit emotional, but I truly feel overwhelmed with positive impressions from our stay.Our stay at Grand Hotel Zell am See was absolutely amazing. This is one of those rare cases when reality exceeds all expectations.I would like to especially thank Jasmine, who from the very beginning of our booking was incredibly attentive, patient, and always ready to help with all our questions and requests.The location of the hotel is simply exceptional — a direct view of the lake and mountains creates a truly relaxing and unforgettable atmosphere.The staff deserves special recognition. Everyone was kind, welcoming, genuinely friendly, and always ready to assist. You can truly feel that the guests matter to them.We travel a lot, but this trip to Zell am See and our stay at this hotel genuinely impressed us.Our room was wonderful — clean, well-maintained, and very comfortable. Beautiful location and great service.

Had planned to stay here for many years and delighted we finally got the chance - didn't disappoint ! what a place, lovely location, right on the lake, close to town and railway station. Service impeccable, and our room was lovely, right on the top floor looking over the lake. Interior is quite traditional, some might say old fashioned, but it just adds to the charm because it doesn't feel old. breakfast and dinner were both excellent, service was excellent, nothing was too much trouble, and I couldn't recomment highly enough.
