  Great place, very nice staff and great food

  We had booked 9 nights there with half board. Located in the Mathon district of Ischgl. It's right on the main road and was so easy to find. Parking is right in front of the house and you have a short walk into the building. There's an elevator. Our room was very nice, modern and clean. We had a double bed and an extra bed for a third guest. Plus a balcony. The closets were big enough for many clothes. The bathroom is best. Very modern and beautifully designed. The spacious shower is just walkable and the tiles on the floor are very non-slip. With the fittings you can adjust the temperature well and there is a rain shower. The toilet in the bathroom has a glass door with frosted glass. So the partner can shower or at the sink while using the toilet. There are 2 sets of towels and different colors, very practical, you know which one belongs to you. You get allocated a fixed table where you eat breakfast and dinner. So you don't have to look for a place. Breakfast is extensive. Especially the homemade jam I want to mention, great. There are several kinds of prepared eggs, bacon and sometimes sausages. Coffee or tea is provided by the friendly staff. You can also order cappuccino or similar. At breakfast you choose from 3 menus for dinner. One of them is vegetarian. Salad bar is always available. Then starter like soup. Even dessert was not to be despised. The food was good quality, we were very satisfied. For 7 euros a day you get the Silvretta Card. So there are a lot of perks. That's how you can use the buses. In one direction to Landseck, 30 km away and in the other direction to Montafon, safely over 30 km. The stops are 150 metres from the hotel. The buses leave every 30 minutes and are very punctual. You can also use the many great mountain railways, including those in Montafon. Together, that's probably 20 lanes. Just great.   I'm more of a person who sees themselves by a pool with an all-inclusive hotel somewhere in the South. For my wife's sake, this time it should be something else - the mountains.Due to the good reviews and the great internet presence, we have chosen the Hotel & Residenz Glöckner in Mathon near Ischgl.Expectations were high and were confirmed 100% upon arrival. The facilities of the hotel are very appealing, it is a mix of the natural materials wood and stone. The visible wooden beams and stone walls create a great atmosphere – Alpine style combined with modernity.This style runs through all rooms, whether in the restaurant toilet or in the wellness area. It is equipped with a Finnish sauna (90 degrees), a steam bath and an infrared cabin.We have chosen a triple room with a small balcony and mountain views. The room has 28 sqm and everything you need. Again, the great design of the equipment is reflected. The bathroom is very spacious and has a walk-in shower with rain shower - just great.Here is also the only negative for us to mention about our holiday: As great as the view is, the traffic passing directly by uses the road as a runway.Since we were in the Hunchback in the summer, we of course had the balcony door constantly open. Anyone who is disturbed by the noise can block it out by simply closing the very well soundproofed windows.What else is there to say? The hotel has an elevator, restaurant and a small bar. In front of and next to the hotel there was enough free parking in our opinion. Furthermore, there is somewhat set off another building, the residence.When booking we chose half board. After all, you have to go out to dinner anyway and the extra charge was absolutely OK for us.You could choose daily between 3 main courses, the 4 course menu. The food itself was exquisite, all prepared with great attention to detail and taste. Breakfast was very varied, including homemade jam;-). But all this tops the staff. The kindness is not only taken as a slogan here, but lived. No matter what wish we (and other guests) had, it was made possible. A very pragmatic example of this: New guests have lost the rollator on arrival.   Great ... keep it up

  We were only there for dinner – and it was excellent!The stag's back literally melted on the tongue, and the beef steak was incredibly tender and perfectly prepared. The restaurant was full, so we had to wait a minute, but that didn't bother at all.The staff was first-class – young or old, everyone was extremely polite and courteous, despite the huge crowd.An all-round successful evening – I can heartily recommend this restaurant!Judith & Levente Originally submitted in German on www.tripadvisor.at.   The hotel is completely renovated in 2017 and offer larges rooms with satelite tv, spa-wellness with sauna, steambad, infra red sauna and relax room and verry good food (5course dinner). I really recomend this hotel

  Very nice hotel with large rooms made out of wood and a nice SAP center and parking space in the basement. The breakfast was very good and the diner is super ! Friendly staff. public transportation at about 500m
