Wow! Can't wait to go back to Das Tirol!

    rating11 Sept 2025

Been thinking of making this trip to this area since last year and decided to stay at Das Tirol after a friend's recommendation and reading reviews. Really glad I decided to stay here! Amazing staff, fabulous location, all in all, fantastic property. The resort gives you a very homelike, cozy atmosphere, perfect for just relaxing and winding down. Got to try the spa area with all the multiple saunas and steam room. Can't wait to go back! Sophie Schulz, Marketing at Kempinski Hotel Das Tirol, responded to this review Dear guest,Thank you very much for your wonderful feedback! We are very pleased that you enjoyed our team, the location and the cosy atmosphere so much. Decline

    rating26 Jul 2025

This used to be a beautiful luxury hotel with good service. Today, it is an outdated building with staff who often speak neither German nor English. We are very much looking forward to the renovation and hope that it will attract more customers and better staff. disappointed

    rating23 Jun 2025

so we arrived to the hotel at 10:15 PM, and guess what!!, no one was there in the reception. we waited for 10 minutes until someone showed up and we requested to take our bags to our room, but no employees were there, only him!once we went to the room, we tried calling the reception, 10 calls, but no one responded! next day, we called the reception asking about the air conditioner, why it is not working, and they simply responded, we do not have AC, it is only ventilation!! wow!! what a surprise, then why did you mention that there is AC in the room in your website?? i think this hotel deserves four starts and it needs a review by the Tourism ministry to check all of these cons.

    Doesn’t feel 5-star

    rating26 Mar 2025

I didn’t like it in general. It didn’t feel a 5-star hotel. The location is terrible if you don’t have a car. It’s in the middle of nowhere. So if you want to go to Kitzbuhel, there is a bus that passes not so frequently. At night coming back from Kitzbuhel for example on Sunday the last one is at approx 17h30. So if you decide to go by taxi expect to pay €70 to €80 round trip to Kitzbuhel. So go for a sandwich in Kitzbuhel? Add €80 to that bill. The hotel cafeteria (lunch time) has nothing vegan. The TV has a poor cable package. In general wouldn’t go back. The sauna area quite terrible for a 5-star. There is no concierge what I definitely expect in a 5-star experience. So nobody can help you with anything. People at the front desk tried but with not the best attitude and without much help. Daniel Koenig, Guest Services / Front Office at Kempinski Hotel Das Tirol, responded to this review Dear AAppa, thank you very much for taking your valuable time to give us your feedback on Tripadvisor.I have read your feedback very carefully and unfortunately it saddens me to see that we were not able to convince you 100% on all points. We are very proud to be located in Jochberg directly enclosed to the famous Ski Area as the only Ski In-Ski Out hotel in the area. Please accept my sincerest apologies for the inconveniences named by you in your review. We are taking your feedback very seriously and will certainily forward it to the relevant department heads to discuss it in our daily meetings. The entire team of the Kempinski Hotel Das Tirol and I would be very pleased to welcome you back soon to convince you of our service.Kindest regards,Axel BethkeGeneral Manager

    Overall good experience

    rating24 Feb 2025

Overall a good hotel very luxurious the rooms are nice and well equipped. The common spaces are nice and feel luxurious. Breakfast is great. Dinner in the main restaurant is excellent and the managers and Waiters are very helpful. Sra Bua was very disappointing experience the menu is terrible and they were very unhelpful and not flexible. The spa is very nice and Edmund is great but it does feel a bit like an afterthought the spa experience in some other hotels in the area is much better. Feels like a few changes could really upgrade that experience. Access to the slopes is super easy and a huge plus for this hotel. Note that if you book the hotel through a third-party you do not get any benefits no accumulate points. We did not know about this and it came as a big surprise. Overall the hotel is good and we would probably try it again. Daniel König, Gästeservice/Empfang at Kempinski Hotel Das Tirol, responded to this review Dear Magnestheman,Thank you very much for taking the time to evaluate your stay on Tripadvisor. As we are constantly striving to ensure excellent service towards our guests, we highly appreciate your feedback.I am more than delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay throughout. Certainly I will raise your feedback about our Sra Bua evening with the team to discuss it and work through it.The entire team of the Kempinski Hotel Das Tirol and I would be delighted to welcome you again soon.Kindest regards,Axel BetkheGeneral Manager
