    Good hotel

    rating18 Feb 2026

Lovely hotel food is really good, well cooked and served hot however a bit too much pork on menu so not a varied choice, salad starters do not get re filled so when it’s gone it’s gone. breakfast was good but again could have a better choice of hot options it was the same every day. Fresh fruit was lovely.Reception staff were brilliant very accommodating when I needed extra pillow’s because of an injury.Barman was good apart from Wednesday night when the lady serving was very rude, accusing hubby of taking paper from card machine !!Turned out it was faulty but no apology I don’t think I have ever known someone to be so rude we didn’t use the bar again. The rest of the staff were brilliant. We were in an annexe room which was lovely, warm spacious and quiet.Bus to slopes was handy pick up right outside but only a 10 minute walkWe used the ski hire and lockers at ski lift so didn’t use boot room. Also there was no safe in room if you want one it’s 10 euros and they are in main building.

    Disappointing

    rating15 Feb 2026

Pros. The food was really nice and was probably what we liked most about our stay here. There was a nice variety for breakfast and we had dinner there every night with lots of options to suit our group. I especially liked the salad buffet which had lots of different fresh salad options. The ski bus stops right outside the hotel door and they run regularly so this was very handy to get to the main gondola in the mornings.Unfortunately the cons outweighed the pros for our stay at this hotel and I wouldn’t recommend a stay here for the following reasons: the price for water was extraordinary at €6 a bottle. When we asked about getting tap water instead we were told it is used for making snow and was not available. We’ve stayed in hotels in Austria before and tap water has always been available and even restaurants in the town serve tap water for free. The manner of nearly all the staff was not friendly or welcoming and some were even quite rude at times , with the exception of Julia who was always friendly , cheery and helpful. There was on person checking in a bus load of passengers so it was slow and chaotic. It’s nice to have a pool but the water was not warm and the limited opening times of the sauna area meant we didn’t get to use these facilities. The pool was also closed on Saturday - transfer day which was very disappointing as this was the only day we were not skiing and would have liked to use it. We booked a superior room but were not allocated one. We had an attic room on the top floor which was very dated , pillows were very uncomfortable and the shower water wouldn’t switch between hot and cold while showering.

    Lovely hotel, warm welcoming staff.

Really nice hotel, nice room with good shower and comfy beds. No tea/coffee making facilities though, we took a travel kettle! Food is very good and our waitress Barbara was lovely, staff are all friendly and welcoming. Wellness area is modern and relaxing but found the pool a little chilly. Regular buses right outside the hotel to the main gondola or a 10 minute walk. Definitely recommend.

    Lovely hotel in Soll village

    rating09 Jan 2026

A very good experience at the Hotel Tyrol for a week skiing early in the season for two couples. The bedrooms were simply furnished with the typical Austrian twin beds, they were warm and there was plenty of hot water for showers. There was a comfortable bar area with a friendly barman. The dining room was excellent. The furnishings were modern and new, the service was attentive and the food delicious. There was plenty of choice at the breakfast buffet, and the fixed dinner menu was really very good with a generous buffet for the salad course and a choice of 3 main courses. Five courses every night, seven courses for a Gala dinner - I don't know how they did it! We alerted the hotel in advance by email of the need for gluten free and (after they had to be politely reminded on the first night) the kitchen was very attentive and supplied options every day. The pool area is new and a very attractive addition to the hotel. There is a sauna and a fitness room which we didn't use so couldn't comment. Most of the hotels in Soll are away from the main ski lift, and for Hotel Tyrol the ski bus stopped frequently directly outside the front door and ran well after 10 am in the morning. It was a 5 minute walk on the flat from the hotel to the village centre or the Spar supermarket. We didn't use the ski room at the hotel, but rented heated ski lockers by the main lift which made the ski bus run much more comfortable. Top tip: ask the hotel to give you a digital Blue Guest Card which allows you free travel on buses to nearby villages and towns. The drivers didn't seem to bothered whether you had one or not, but it was useful to plan trips knowing you could just hop on and hop off.

Excellent hotel, attentive and friendly staff and outstanding food.

The pluses (so many)1. Very spacious and comfortable bedrooms which plenty of storage space;2. Excellent, high quality and varied food with good choice, served in a lovely restaurant with beautiful mountain views;3. Outstanding staff service;4. Beautiful spa and pool - beware nudity is mandatory in the sauna;4. Big bar area with plenty of seating. Nice touches like welcome drinks, after ski snacks and sparking wine and canapés on NY eve;5. Spacious and heated boot and ski storage room;6. Very reliable and efficient bus service from the hotel to the main lift.Things to note:1. We were located in the sub hotel over the road so bear in mind if heading to the spa in swimwear and flip flops or the main hotel in slippers!2. The food is a tad salty and, while the hotel tap water is clean and fresh tasting, they refuse to serve it at the table or bar. Expensive bottled water only to stay hydrated. Thank you Hotel Tyrol for a wonderful holiday. We hope to return
