    Stuck in the 90’s

    rating03 Feb 2023

Breakfast - continental breakfast only. No coffee machine, very slow to restock the cold meats, fruit, cereals etc Very poor selection for breakfast. No sliced fresh fruit No variation of pastries Oranges in the fruit bowl were going off.The only hot thing they had were boiled eggs. They don’t cling film or wrap the breakfast cereals after breakfast. They just leave them out, exposed. So they dry out for the next morning. See photo how they’re left. No afternoon tea when coming back from skiing even though in the brochure in the room says so. Rooms - Thin walls, could hear the family and baby crying next door. Warm but stuck in the 90’sTV works Hot shower Dinner - actually very good. German / Austrian food done really well, 4/5 courses per evening. Very tasty, can’t fault it. Steak, veal, some fish. Very good. I wanted tap water with my dinner, and the waiter said I can’t have tap water unless I have a bottle of wine. Crazy ?Obviously a money making scheme, potentially to make up lost revenue through COVID. Cleanliness - clean yes, no faults with that. Location - outskirts of town. Have to catch a bus to the ski lift. Not long, not far. Buses are frequent enough. Facilities - Sauna and steam. No swimming pool. Massages available. Ski locker for boots and skis. Skiing - I’m not a beginner. I’ve been skiing every year since I was 12. The town is very small. Good for families and beginners. Completed all the routes in 2/3 days. Maybe this place was different before COVID. Cutting back on things like afternoon tea and tap water. Got some money to claw back. To summarise: Would I come here again? - NoWould I recommend coming here? - No

Three stars accommodation with a four star price.

    rating17 Feb 2020

Seefeld is great and can totally recommend as winter break destination with family. We were really lucky with the sunny weather with no wind and experimented with alpine skiing, cross-country and also skating next to the Olympia Congresscenter (highly recommended!). We would however opt for another hotel for the next stay in Seefeld. The service was friendly albeit sometimes a little overtly direct and abrupt - no extra pleasantries were exchanged eg at breakfast but they would bring you coffee if you ask for it. Breakfast is ok, but it is quite a basic selection for 4 stars. We came in at 7:50 in the first morning not realizing we’re early (only starts at 8am) and didn’t really get a welcome, but as we asked we could come in and they gave us a table. Overall the room decor in the junior suite is dated (I guess it’s around 20 years since last renovation), so the full carpet in particular calls for update. Also with 4 people sleeping in there’s not a lot of extra room for eg. doing yoga - there are a lot of closets by the wall, feels maybe some of that could be rethought for more floor space. The wellness area looks nice and is also a few years younger - if that’s your thing (we didn’t use it). The hotel Information Book in the room refers to massage prices from 2016 - no biggie but it adds to the general outdated feeling. We appreciated: + uncomplicated check-in. + room next to our friends (we booked together)+ clean, warm and working bathroom&separate toilet. + enough closet space for organizing all outdoor gear and clothes+ location near enough the center for a convenient walk to dinner and back (we only booked with breakfast, which worked well). Adults could also easily walk to the Rosshütte lift station.+ Flexibility at check-out for staying in our room for 1,5 hours more as our car battery was empty and needed support for getting started! We would change: - the beds are already well-slept in and definitely need an update. - WiFi reception in the room was really poor and not usable. - add light-proof curtains - not an issue for us in this season (also it was the kids sleeping on that side and they didn’t care), but when summer comes, guests will surely appreciate. - breakfast only starts at 8am while the ski lifts are open from 8:30 and the ski bus goes 8:20 (as the next bus after that was only at 9:30, we ended up driving to piste with the car so we could take the kids and all the gear); breakfast 7:30 would seem a more appropriate start time.

    4-stars??

    rating17 Aug 2018

A hotel who needs to work a little harder for the 4th star we think. Old fashion, VERY soft beds in junior suite, dark, brown and boring. Breakfast fine. Seefeld we just love. Beautyfull, clean and very friendly people. Our third time here.
