my favorite place to stay in Austria. Superior service staff, amazing food, terrific programs, & the location is convenient for summer & winter sports. I love the downhill ski areas that are within driving distance. Meals are always fresh, filling & healthy. Staff speaks English; Reservations process was simple. This place is so comfortable. We are never disappointed. Will be back!

This hotel is great. We were surrounded with friendly staff.They have beautiful rooms, swimming pool (inside the hotel and in the garden).Great children play room and wellness.And then the food: wow. What to choose every day was hard work :-).The family is so very friendly and helpfull.Great tips for trips.

We only visited the Berghof for dinner but we were made most welcome and treated to an excellent meal. Mrs Unterrainer, the first generation owner, spotted us as an English couple and as previous reviewers have mentioned, made a point of coming over and speaking to us - a very nice touch. Very good value in an informal and relaxed but equally well appointed environment.

Although the hotel isn't within a ski resort it was a fantastic base for a wide area. Great rooms, great service, superb food - nothing to fault. Staff made our stay very welcome and we were particularly impressed when they offered us a room late on Sunday before catching a flight to shower and change after skiing - you can't fault this service. Gala dinner night particularly impressive!

A hotel to go back and back

This is the only hotel we go back and back again, every year! We usually go during the Eastern break with the whole family. The hotel and area has the perfect facilities for both skiers and non-skiers. You'll need a car to go to the skipistes, or you can take the ski bus. We always stay in the Panorama Guesthouse. The rooms are less up to date than the rooms in the hotel but they are more spacious, the service is the same, and they are less expensive. Berghof has a family-atmosphere and is like paradise for kids: swimmingpools, playground, a play-area in the basement with toys, gaming facilities (with supervisior during evening dinner, so that the parents can enjoy their dinner while the kids are playing!). The food is excellent and the staff is very friendly. The owners even now and then come round in the restaurant to chat with the guests! Their welness facilities are very professional; we can advise the Hot Stone Massage! I would recommand this hotel to everyone who wants to go skiing with the family, and likes to relax afterwards and enjoy a good meal. So, not really for party-people...
