Location

This hotel is located in the centre of Zell am See, only 30 m from the pedestrian zone and a 5-minute walk from the cable cars and Lake Zell. It lies just 36 km from Hohe Tauern National Park.

Facility

The hotel has a lift and features 29 rooms and 2 suites. English- and German-speaking staff at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock.     There is lots to like here.Modern decor. Lovely rooms, very good food and service. Staff are all well trained and efficient. And I do believe they care about the service they give you.Located about 3 mins from bus station (for Kaprun and Saalbach) and 7 mins from City Xpress gondola.Right in centre of Zell, close to bars and shops. And the lake.Only major grumble is the tiny ski room with only 2 seats.I'd give it 5 stars if it had a Spa.Overall, excellent place to say and I would do so again.

    We had a fabulous week /time at Hotel Heitzman (31st Jan - 7th Feb 26). The staff were extremely helpful (thank you Thomas, AnnaMaria, all the bar / breakfast staff & all the cleaning staff). Nothing was too much trouble including organising chocolate cake for my partners 60th birthday, allowing me to decorate our dining table and answering tons of questions before / on arrival and during our stay. The decor is definitely 'boutique' and nicely decorated. We took 3 bedrooms (6 of us) and each one was great, clean, well decorated, lovely hot showers, tasteful. The hotel was toasting hot all the time. We were a bit tentative about booking half board (we usually just do B&B) but the 5 course meals were exceptional. The menu is varied and creative but also catered well for me (vegetarian). Breakfast is more than adequate with yoghurt, fruit, pastries ,cereal + sausage / scrambled eggs, bacon and a toaster plus there is the option to order eggs with various addtions including smoked salmon. The restaurant is closed on Tues evenings. We went to Pizzeria Guiseppe and it was amazing - would recommend. Authentic, lively, good sized pizza and pasta dishes. Loved it. The hotel is close to a) City Express and b) the bus stop to take you to the main cable car. It's easy and quick. It was good to be central for wandering around the town (which is lovely) and the plentiful (but not rowdy) apres ski.It was also nice to drink and relax in the 'conservatory' and around the bar in the hotel. The one non skier has plenty to do - i.e. lake dip, the Tauren Spa, a trip to the Glacier in Kaprun (easy bus ride and 4 gondola rides which were amazing), spectacular walks on the mountains with hired snow shoes and meet the rest of the party on the slopes, a walk around the lake is also possible)It was a fabulous holiday and would highly recommend Hotel Heitzma

    We absolutely loved our stay here. It is in the best location, especially if you're skiing! The staff were incredible, and the food was amazing. Really accommodating for our little boy, and the room we booked was great! Highly recommend

    This is a nice hotel but I’m not sure I’d class it as a 4 star hotel. Rooms are clean but ours was nothing really like the pictures. It was noisy at night until the traffic thinned out on the main road. In hindsight I wish we’d asked to be moved.Breakfast is ok, the usual assortment of European meats, breads, cereal, cakes etc. There was also the offer of fresh waffles and eggs if you request them. They do sit you really close together though which was a little bit uncomfortable.Staff are friendly and helpful. Bar area is nice and relaxing and the rooftop bar has a lovely view. There is a garage very close by to park.

    We loved our stay here. The hotel was perfect for our week in Austria. The location is central to the shops and eateries and only a very short walk to the transport connections. Our room was comfortable, clean and well appointed.All of the staff were superb. They were friendly, helpful and always seemed genuinely happy to be there. Big shout out to Helga on the front desk who made my holiday that extra bit special. She had a great sense of humour for a German and was occasionally helpful between our ribbing sessions. 😂I’m already planning to return during a planned motorbike trip……….sorry Helga
