Location

The hotel is located on Innsbruck's biggest shopping street, Maria-Theresien-Strasse, and next to the Triumph Arch. Guests will easily find their way from the motorway to the hotel following the green hotel route. Access to public transport is right at the hotel's door step and the train station is around 400 m away.

Facility

The hotel was built in 1400. 2 suites, 7 single rooms and 27 double rooms are located on 3 storeys and can be reached by lift. The multilingual staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. A baggage storage service, a safe, a conference room, a business centre and a smoke alarm are available. Wireless internet access (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. Everyday necessities can be purchased at the supermarket. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park (for a fee). Complimentary newspapers are available.

Rooms

    Basic, cheap, but perfect for a short city break

    Some bizarre reviews on here - reception not staffed all the time (so what), no fridge or minibar (?!?!). It's a budget hotel, I guess these people were expecting the Ritz for 80 euros a night. No conplaints here, location is fantastic right in the city centre, 5 minutes walk from the main train and bus station. Staff were friendly and check in details are clear before you book so it shouldn't matter when they are on reception. We didn't have breakfast there. Rooms are a little dated/tired but it was just a bed and a shower we needed as we were only there 2 days so not a problem for us, if you want somewhere fancy to waste a load of time in instead of spending your time in this fantastic city then book somewhere else instead of complaining you had no bell boy in what is the equivalent of Travelodge standard basically

    OK. Let me get this straight, If you are expecting to get any sort of luxury or even some basic ameneties with a comfortable stay. This is not the property one should look out for and Please for god sake ask the lady at the breakfast buffet to be bit polite. If a guest is asking for something. He/She has not committed any crime, The answer can be given in a polite manner without any need for unadultrated attitude.The rooms are small enough to somehow fit in 2 people & their lugguage. The floor makes a creepy sound everytime you walk in your room as its a years old wooden florring if I am not wrong. Located at a corner of an intersection, you can have a first hand view of the traffic & processions if any, so all the hustle of the city can be viewed.Amenties in the room - Next to none, only 2 disposable cups were there in case you feel thirsty of wish to pour a drink in your room.Positive points - Staff at the reception is helpfull but is not available all day.The property is just 700 meters away from railway station.

    Brownout.. nO refrigerator, no aircon, no electric fan. Bad. before check in, you can not enter the hotel. food is so so.

    We stayed at The Golden Krone for three nights (May 11,12,13). The location was perfect, just about a 10 minute walk from the train station, and very close to many restaurants and shops. The room was a bit on the small side, but the beds were very comfortable, and the included private bathroom was convenient. The breakfast was more than adequate, with coffee, tea, assorted juices, cheeses, fruits, and more. We would definitely stay here again.

    This is a cozy place that is very traditional., being on holiday here we found it unique, they still use keys on room doors and the main entrance, please do not change that. The view from our room on 3 floor was magnificent, and the location is superb, next to triumph arch, and 10 minutes walk from Cathedral, Golden Roof and cable car start point. For Dinner there is Vapaiano's across the street and there is a super market a minute away. It is also a 10 minute walk from OBB Train station, as we were on holiday these plus points were great. Staff were great- hey Toby thank you! We will recommend this to our friends .
