    We stayed at Hotel Maximilian in Innsbruck for two nights, which was MUCH too short.From the street, the hotel looks just like any other hotel. Approaching from the sidewalk, one could even miss the entrance.But when we entered, we were greeted by the friendliest receptionist of all the hotels we stayed at during our holiday. That set the scene for the rest of our stay.The biggest surprise came when we entered our room. What a beautiful room with an equally beautiful bathroom! It had a big shower, and a wall-to-wall mirror above double washbasins. The big room had a large, comfortable bed.The hotel was designed and built to be a place where one could rest. Very little noise from outside was heard inside the room, and what could be heard was not disturbing.Being located in the heart of the altstadt made exploring by foot very easy.Breakfast -- the only meals catered for by the hotel's restaurant -- was included in the room's price. The people who worked in the restaurant were unfortunately not as friendly as the receptionist.We found the room in spotless condition, and staff kept it that way throughout our stay.Would we stay there again in future? Absolutely, without second thought!

    This was one of the best hotels I stayed at on a long trip to Europe. The value was great as well as the cleanliness and service. Great location and overall no complaints. Not much else to say other than the room keys were small leather blocks that were different than the normal plastic room key which was cool.

    This hotel has a great location with easy access from the airport. Excellent restaurants within walking distance. The staff was friendly and helpful Checking buss schedules and offering other alternatives for our trip back to the airpot. The rooms were smaller than most we stayed out through Austria but comfortable.

    Classy, elegant hotel!

    Classy, elegant hotel which is perfectly located in Innsbruck, just a short walk from the old town. The rooms here were immaculate and we had upgraded to get a larger room -well worth it for the space and comfort. Breakfasts were plentiful with a good choice of dishes. Staff were incredibly helpful and genuinely interested in making our stay as comfortable as possible. Nothing was too much trouble. They also have luggage storage facilities in the basement which we used the day we left. We will definitely come back to Innsbruck and will most certainly stay here again (we just had two nights prior to trekking and should have booked a third night). A great find.
