    A stranger opened my room door at 5:30am

    At 5:30 AM, a stranger suddenly opened the door to my hotel room.As a Platinum member, I was not upgraded to a larger room until I discovered that Room 407 was bigger. Only then did the staff agree to move me.The next morning around 5:30am, while I was asleep, a woman mistakenly opened my room door. She screamed when she saw me, clearly shocked, and I guessed she had been given the wrong key. My husband and I immediately checked the door, but no one was outside. Feeling unsafe, we placed our suitcases against the door for protection.We reported the incident to the front desk that same morning. The staff member offered only a brief apology and admitted she could not guarantee that such an incident would not happen again. Her response was extremely disappointing and left us feeling unsafe during our stay.     Makes Travelodge look like an upmarket hotel.

    Positives first - the room was clean. It was convenient for the main railway station. They also had a room where we could leave our cases after checking out.Unfortunately these were the only positives. Now for the negatives.The location is poor. The hotel is an elevated structure located on a traffic island (seriously). When you eventually find the escalator, you go up to the entrance at first floor level. The consequence of the elevated structure is that it provides a shelter for the yobbo drinkers, so watch that you don’t trip over the empty bottles.The receptionist was surly. The room was small and lacking in the facilities that you usually take for granted - no kettle or tea/coffee facilities, no safe, no comfortable seat (only two hard plastic seats. Not even a bottle of water - we had to go to reception to pay €4 for a bottle.When you leave, you have to lug your cases down to ground level. There may be an up-escalator but that’s your lot.We will be going back to Innsbruck but we will be staying somewhere (anywhere) other than the Ibis Hotel.     Another good stay!

    I booked Ibis . as often I stay in this chain.It is just in front of the main train station and 10 minutes walking from Town.Room has all you need,also breakfast was nice with waffle machine.The room has a mountain view which in the morning was spectacular.Bed was comfortable and clean.I liked my stay.     Location was very nice. There is an underground parking. It is a bit complicated but still very good. People are very nice and helpful. Classic Ibis. All good..     We arrived without a booking. We were helped by a friendly receptionist. The room was large with a king size bed comfortable and good quality bedding. It had WiFi tv and plenty of storage space. The bathroom was a good size and very clean. We were given a free welcome voucher for a drink at the bar.
