    Breathtaking Views and Comfortable Stay

    rating06 Apr 2026

Breathtaking Views and Good ServiceRating: 5/5Our stay at the Arabella Jagdhof Resort Am Fuschlsee was a comfortable base for our trip to the Salzburg and Wolfgansee areas. The resort offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and comfortHelpful Guidance: The staff was great, providing excellent recommendations and clear guidance on using local transportation, which made exploring the region better. Stunning Views: Our room overlooked a serene river and majestic mountains. Waking up to such a peaceful and beautiful landscape was truly special. We got an upgrade due to my Bon Voy membership, which was much appreciated.Comfort & Quality: The room was clean and very comfortable, offering a relaxing atmosphere throughout our stay.

Credit card reserved funds not released

    rating30 Jan 2026

The hotel experience was fine, but they reserved 200 euros on my credit card, even though the room was paid for and I never charge anything to the room in hotels. There was nothing due at checkout and yet four days later they haven’t released the funds back to my card.

    A amazing stay

    rating16 Jan 2026

It was an immense pleasure to return to this magnificent establishment, a place where we truly enjoy spending time together as a family. From the moment you arrive, you feel transported back in time. The décor is carefully designed and refined, with, of course, a strong hunting theme that fits the spirit of the place perfectly.I won’t comment too much on the decoration or the comfort of the rooms, as there are already many comments about these .There is no doubt that you are staying in a former hunting manor house that has been decorated with great taste and a lot of attention to details.Instead, I would like to share my new experience in 2026.I visited last year in 2025 and had already appreciated the high quality of service, as the staff are truly attentive and very professional. However, this year I must say that since the arrival of the new General Manager, Mr. Kristof Cool, the level of service has been taken to an even higher standard.I had the opportunity to meet Mr. Kristof Cool and was very pleasantly surprised by his kindness and, above all, by his willingness to listen. He takes the time to listen to his guests and genuinely wants to know their impressions so that he can further enhance the level of service in every area. He places great importance on ensuring that the staff take perfect care of their guests.Mr. Kristof Cool is extremely proactive. If you suggest an idea or express a wish for improvement, he takes action very quickly, and I can assure you that your requests are addressed promptly, of course within reason. He is truly responsive and exceptionally kind. He will undoubtedly elevate this establishment to an even higher level.I have rarely met a General Manager who is so responsive, efficient, and exceptionally kind. A truly heartfelt thank you to Mr.Kristof Coll On this occasion, I would like to congratulate several members from different teams.A special thank you to the Operations Manager, Mr. Robin, who was incredibly helpful upon our arrival. The reception team does a remarkable job, and I would particularly like to thank Karin, who is truly devoted to her guests. The rest of the team is equally attentive, always pleasant and smiling, with a kind word for every guest. Many thanks to:Edi, Pia, Jemmy, Daria, Dani, and Atila.Thank you also to the Reservations Director, Mattias.I would now like to share my impressions of the restaurant, which is a high-end gastronomic restaurant. The Chef is truly excellent, preparing dishes that are genuine masterpieces in terms of presentation. It is already a pleasure to admire the plate before tasting it. The cuisine is refined and delightful, a true enchantment for the palate. You will thoroughly enjoy every meal.I would also like to thank the restaurant team, especially the Food & Beverage Assistant, Janine.Janine is a dynamic and cheerful young woman who takes the time to engage with guests and she is highly attentive to service. I would also like to thank several other restaurant team members:Zsanett,TiborJanos Leisa and Michael, from Banquet Manager. What makes your stay particularly enjoyable is the swimming pool and spa, set in a beautiful environment. You can relax in a heated pool with a pleasant temperature, as well as enjoy the bubbling whirlpools that are directly integrated into the pool. The sauna and hammam areas are also very pleasant and relaxing. As for the rooms, I highly recommend the family suites. They are truly magnificent and spacious, and they are located in the same building as the reception.I would like to congratulate the housekeeping teams for their exceptional work. The rooms are spotless, and all common areas are maintained to an extremely high level of cleanliness.I highly recommend this hotel, which is a true gem in the region. We are already looking forward to returning in March and again in September.

WE TRIED TO LEAVE ON THE SECOND DAY!

    rating04 Nov 2025

Private beach: Upon arrival I wanted to go for a swim while waiting to check in - unfortunately the receptionist did not warn me, that the advertised private beach is not fit for swimmers and, as the manager later conceded, more of a sunbed resting area. Got stuck in thigh-high mud and suffered a massive scratch from a branch stuck in the mud. Upon complaining we were told that we could get free-entry tickets for the public beach - which was good to know and really nice actually, but simply not concurrent with the hotel's advertising.Room: I had previously passed the hotel en-route to Salzburg and knew of the busy road out front. That's why I booked a garden-view room. We ended up in a room overlooking the parking lot - where some gentlemen liked to brag with their cars' engines in the middle of the night - and the busy road. We could not only hear buses and lorries super clearly, but also every conversation of people walking past in the hallway and even in the room next to us. The door was super sturdy-looking wood but the walls must be paper-thin. cleanliness: Upon arrival at the room, we found a dead wasp and a dead ladybug on the bathroom windowsill, as well as a considerable amount of dust. Because we were already disappointed, we left them there as an experiment - they 'lived' with us for 3 days :)food and service: whilst checking in, we asked if we had to make reservations for dinner or whether we could just walk in. We were told, walk-ins were welcome. We arrived at the Fux Restaurant at half past seven, and when we said, we didn't have a reservation, the host just about rolled his eyes and exhaled very loudly - we felt super welcome! We ordered 3 drinks, of which two third were actually served - after some time. As I am a celiac I was pleasantly surprised to be served gluten free bread with the complementary bread and butter. Sadly, the bread had already sweated a lot in its plastic wrapper and was mouldy. When I told the waiter, he brusquely answered, "that can't be." Thank you, sir. I mean, I've seen mouldy bread before and he eventually took it away, and brought mould-less gluten free bread. breakfast and service: walking into the breakfast area at 9 am, I again told the hostess, that I was celiac and needed gluten free bread. She told me to simply order it at the table. Simply! I did - twice. Because after half an hour there was still no gluten free bread, whilst my partner had already finished. When the waiter served two plates of gluten free bread, because the orders had waited all this time in the kitchen to be picked up by a waiter - but nobody had! - she said, "just come in earlier tomorrow, when it isn't so busy" :) I actually cried at this point. Because what do you mean? Oh sorry, that my medically required gluten free bread inconveniences you so much at this 4 star superior (allegedly) hotel! Yes, I can see that the service staff is utterly overwhelmed and actively avert eye-contact when you try to order something. But guess what? You don't have to rent out all the rooms, if you don't have the staff for it. And at a 4 star superior (allegedly) hotel I expect trained staff. I once had to act as a translator because the waiter didn't know what a poached egg was when a guest tried to order. Plus the breakfast terrace has all the charm of a motorway rest stop, what with the grand view of the busy road and the passing lorries and such. bonus: The next day at breakfast, upon seeing me, the waiter seriously asked me, if I felt better that day :) I wanted to scream :)management: we wrote a list and complained to management. We were ready to leave if they'd reimbursed us for the nights we wouldn't stay. But they refused. Favourite statement of the manager when asked about the false advertising of the private beach and lack of mud-warning-signs: "well, that's just marketing". We stayed begrudgingly and spent most of our time elsewhere and none of our money in any of the restaurants or bars.
