Location

This exclusive business hotel lies close to the historic city centre of Salzburg, the birthplace of Mozart. Only a short walk separates guests from Salzburg's many interesting sights, such as the Hohensalzburg Fortress, the Cathedral Square and the Grand Festival Hall. The hotel is conveniently located close to the city centre and is just a 15-minute walk from the centre of the old town, where guests will find a range of shops and public transport links. The main train station is 3 km from the hotel, the congress centre is a 10-minute drive away and the exhibition centre can be reached in 15 minutes by car. Salzburg Airport is only 6 km from the accommodation.

Facility

Guests have a choice of 151 rooms, including 11 junior suites, 4 suites and 135 double rooms, located in two 4-storey buildings with lifts. The multilingual staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access (no extra charge) is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. There are a number of shops as well. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional amenities include a TV room and a library. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park. Further services and facilities include room service, a laundry service and a coin-operated laundry. Rooms

Air conditioning and individually adjustable heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. All rooms are carpeted and include a double bed or a queen-size bed. An extra bed is available for a fee. A safe and a desk are also available. Guests will also find a refrigerator included among the standard features. There is also an ironing set and a trouser press. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio and WiFi (no extra charge) provide all the essentials for a comfortable holiday. A turndown service provides guests with additional comfort in the evening hours. A selection of pillows ensures a comfortable stay. A hairdryer and a vanity mirror are provided in the bathrooms, which include a shower and a bathtub. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Wheelchair-friendly rooms with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms are also available. The hotel has smoking rooms.

The sports and entertainment facilities at the hotel ensure that guests have plenty of activities to choose from during their stay. A sun terrace is a great place to while away the hours.     Initial service issues but excellent management recovery

    My stay at Hotel Castellani with my family was characterized by two very different sides.On one hand, the stay itself was disappointing. We experienced a long delay at check-in (over an hour and 15 minutes), which was difficult with two small children. Furthermore, despite the "Do Not Disturb" sign, staff entered the room only to leave insufficient towels without actually cleaning, and we noticed some lapses in the maintenance of common areas. At the time, it did not feel like a 4-star experience.On the other hand, the post-stay communication was outstanding. After I reached out to express my concerns, the management responded with great transparency and professionalism. They took full responsibility for the errors, explaining that it was an isolated situation during a hectic period. They demonstrated their integrity by offering a fair compensation to make up for the inconveniences.In conclusion: the service during the stay was a 2-star experience, but the management's reaction was definitely 5-star. I appreciate a business that stands by its reputation and takes care of its guests even after they have checked out. I would give them another chance in the future, hoping for a smoother stay from the start.     Would not recommend, rooms not cleaned on time even for check in had to wait 1.5hours. O understand at busy times such as Christmas it’s busy but get the staff in and get the job in hand done. RioS are basic with 2 single beds pushed together which do move apart. We were out celebrating 35years of being together as well as Christmas. Tbe reception staff are rude and do t give all the information that a tourist would need such as free bus services if you’re a guest at the hotel. Nothing was explained and rooms not to a high standard. We are professionals travelling and we feel as though the hotel staff treated us as though we were nothing. Breakfast is very basic and coffee was cold. I have travelled lots around the world and never experienced such an awful experience at a hotel.Salzburg is a beautiful place to visit however choose the accommodation wisely. Won’t be coming back to this hotel in future.     We stayed for 3 nights in May we booked 2 rooms one for my husband and me and the other for our adult son. Check in was easy lobby was nicely decorated . Both rooms were clean beds comfortable and also the pillows. Rooms were good size compare to other hotels in Europe. Breakfast was good staff was friendly .In the back of hotel had nice sitting area with a cute chapel .Nice location not far from the city hotel is set back away from the road. Ample parking for cars didn’t have a problem finding a spot ( had to pay daily fee for the use of lot ). Used the city bus which was a short walk to get to the center of the city .     A great hotel with great amenities, not too far from the main town area.Easily accessible via public transport, we could walk to the bus stop in 3-4 mins. It's quiet and peaceful, with clean and large rooms. They have a nice breakfast selection with great service!
