  This morning my mother went downstairs to get coffee. First of all, she was charged 10€ for two coffees, which already felt unreasonable.On top of that, an employee named Hassan behaved very rudely toward her. When she asked for a tray to carry the coffees, he refused. She explained that it would be difficult for her to carry everything, and he replied: “That’s your problem.”My mother is over 70 years old, and this kind of attitude toward an elderly customer is unacceptable.I asked to speak to a manager and was told that there is no manager on weekends. Maybe that’s why employees feel free to behave this way.In addition, a lot of noise at night for those who suffer from noiseNot recommended!!   Exceptional Service and Comfort in Salzburg

  An amazing hotel and easily one of the best stays we’ve had in Austria. The rooms are huge compared to most hotels we’ve experienced here, and our room had a beautiful view.The location is excellent—there’s a petrol station nearby, a supermarket right across the road, and Indian restaurants just behind the hotel, which was very convenient. Breakfast was good and well-organized.The highlight of our stay was Nicolas at the front desk. He was outstanding—extremely helpful and genuinely welcoming. He shared some beautiful hidden gems of Salzburg that we would never have discovered on our own and also guided us about free nearby parking since we were visiting over the weekend.Dorint is an experience in itself. Truly worth the money, and I would happily stay here again.   Not a good hotel and if you want feeding don’t stay here

  Not the best hotel. We arrived around 9:30am and our room wasn’t ready as expected. But our luge was just left in a room where anyone could walk in and out. We were told breakfast was served till 11am, we went into the restaurant at 10:50am and was refused any food. We’d been up travelling since 1am and was very hungry. There were no restaurants nearby so had to settle for McDonald’s down the road. The location is poor. It’s not in the city centre. The hotel doesn’t have a restaurant that opens on an evening which s very poor for a 4star hotel, especially when there’s nothing around. The bar doesn’t open on a Sunday which is weird for a hotel. The whole place is just strange. Our room was ok, but the kettle dint work unless you held the plug into the wall. It was a joke. Would I stay here again? No, absolutely not. I felt it was a race issue, if you’re German or Austrian you’re treated with more respect. English, not so much. It was observed whilst we sat killing time before we went on our tour we had booked.   Room for Improvement: A Mixed Stay Over Christmas

  We recently stayed at the hotel over the Christmas period, travelling with our four teenagers. Our overall experience was quite mixed, with some notable highlights and several significant drawbacks.📍 Location and Local AmenitiesThe hotel's location is further from the Old Town than we would have preferred, making quick trips back and forth during the day difficult. Additionally, we found there were not many restaurants locally in the immediate vicinity.🍹 Bar and Staff ServiceThe bartenders were truly amazing. They were incredibly lovely and accommodating. However, it was clear that they were significantly overworked. On Christmas Day, we noticed one bartender handling numerous customers completely on their own while we were playing cards with our kids. The menu was extremely limited, offering only pizza and cake.The front staff were okay, but honestly, they were not overly friendly or welcoming.🛏️ Room ExperienceOur room was aesthetically pleasing, featuring some helpful Danish-inspired shelving. However, comfort and functionality were lacking:The beds were uncomfortable.There were no standard amenities (e.g., no shower cap or extra toothbrushes).The towels were well worn.There was no mini bar or coffee/tea setup in the room or hotel.The hot water was not hot, and the water pressure was fairly shocking.The TV did not allow for streaming, which meant we were unable to watch our family holiday movie (like Christmas Vacation or Love Actually) on Christmas Eve.💪 Facilities and BreakfastOur kids did enjoy the gym and sauna.The breakfast was just okay. I honestly wouldn't rate it highly due to stale pastries and overly fried bacon. A nice touch, however, was the inclusion of a bottle of Prosecco. Unfortunately, the juices were dispensed from a large machine, and when it ran out, it simply ran out.✅ Final VerdictWould I stay here again? Probably not. While the bartenders were fantastic, the uncomfortable rooms, poor water pressure, and disappointing breakfast make it difficult to recommend.
