Location

This boutique hotel has an excellent city centre location. It is right in the heart of Salzburg, close to the Congress Centre and the world-famous Mirabell Palace. Also nearby are the municipal council offices with their enchanting grounds. The popular sights of the city are just a few minutes away on foot. The hotel is close to public transportation, giving guests easy access to all the major attractions, including Mozart’s Residence, the Salzburg Marionette Theatre, Holy Trinity Church, Getreidegasse and the Landestheater. It is approx. 6 km from Salzburg Airport.

Facility

A junior suite, 13 single rooms and 59 double rooms are located on 5 storeys and can be reached by 2 lifts. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. A number of shops, including a souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. Parking facilities available to guests include a garage (for a fee) and a car park.     Revamped hotel that has lost some charm

    Have stayed many times at this hotel. Whilst this hotel has been recently renovated, the renovations were not complete which meant no breakfast dining available. Yes, our room was new, neat, spacious and comfortable but I feel that since the hotel has been renovated - it has lost some of its charm and is now just one of many hotels similar. There is nothing that makes it stand out from the crowd. It is perfectly located and the staff are always so friendly, approachable and willing to help. The shower / bathroom was very good but as with most hotels there is never enough room to dry towels. They always want you to hang up and re-use but there is never enough space to hang towels up. Whilst I will always choose this hotel to stay in when visiting Salzburg - it is certainly not what it used to be and I agree it was dated and needed a revamp - it has gone too far. But overall, very comfortable stay with the same great staff although now in official uniforms. Will be returning in November and hope to see the breakfast area renovations completed.

    This hotel was amazing!! The rooms were beautiful and roomy. The staff was amazing and so helpful anytime we had a question. The location was PERFECT! Right across from Mirabell Palace, close to lots of shopping and food and only a 15 minute walk to the train station. We will stay here when we come back to Salzburg one day!!     We so enjoyed our stay in this quaint hotel! The staff was very helpful and friendly, the location was perfect for visiting Old Town and there were several wonderful restaurants and shops nearby. The beds were very comfortable, and the rooms very clean. It is located in the city on a busy street, so there is traffic noise if you leave your windows open, so bring ear plugs if that might be an issue. But a very pleasant stay, and highly recommended!     Beautiful Hotel, Great location!

    We stayed at the Palais Mirabell for one night in Salzburg. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, but we were fortunate enough to get one of the newly renovated rooms. It was a good sized room with a queen bed, pull out sofa for our teens and good sized closet area and very large bathroom. The decor was tasteful and beautiful. We were also fortunate enough to get a small balcony with a view of the area. The location is amazing! It was close to parking and directly across the street from the Mirabell Gardens and short walk to the main pedestrian area where many of the sights and shopping are. The staff was lovely and helpful too. The beds were a but firm for us, but perhaps them being new was part of that. The only issues we had were that the top hinge on the bathroom door bent (the glass door was quite heavy and maybe the hinge wasn't strong enough?) and we were unable to completely close the door. Not a huge deal, but unfortunate. The other thing was on our way out the parking validation that the hotel gave us did not work. So instead of paying 24 Euro for our parking we had to pay 40. Yes, we could have backed up, re-parked and gone back into the hotel to try and get it fixed, but we really needed to get on the road so simply paid it. Overall, we would definitely stay at this hotel again.     Great location, lovely room plenty big enough for a family of 4 (basically 2 adjoining rooms without the adjoining door between). Loved having two bathrooms. Would definitely stay again.
