English- and German-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out.     Absolutely 100%satisfied with this hotel. It is just round the corner from the number 2 bus stop which takes you to the train station and the airport. It is clean and friendly. The lobby has snacks and the restaurant has lovely, reasonable priced food. The reception staff are helpful, particularly Stefan. Would definitely stay there again.

    Stayed at this hotel for three days in December. Good thing about this property was that it was very close to bus, tram and railway station. While the hotel is slightly away from the city centre, it is well connected by bus and it took hardly 10 mins to reach the city centre. The room was small but cozy. The hotel was well maintained. Breakfast was decent but the spread can have more options given its an Accor group 4* hotel.Staff at reception were quite friendly. They guided us on public transport and christmas markets to see. Otherwise housekeeping service needs improvement.     Hotel Mercure Salzburg City – Comfortable, Convenient and Great Value

    I stayed at Hotel Mercure Salzburg City for two nights during my time in Salzburg, and it turned out to be an excellent base for exploring the city. What made the stay even better was being upgraded for free to a premium room, which included a complimentary mini bar — a very welcome perk after a day of sightseeing.The premium room was spacious, clean and modern, with a comfortable bed, good lighting and plenty of storage space. The free mini bar was a nice extra touch, allowing me to relax in the evening without needing to head back out for drinks. The hotel felt quiet and well-run, which made it easy to rest, even though it’s located in a busy and well-connected part of the city.Location is one of the hotel’s strongest points. It is less than a 10-minute walk from Salzburg’s main train station, which is ideal if you’re arriving by rail or planning day trips to places like Hallstatt or Vienna. It’s also around a 15-minute walk to the centre of the Old Town, meaning you can reach Salzburg’s most famous sights — such as the Cathedral, Mozart’s birthplace and the Hohensalzburg Fortress — without needing public transport.Airport access is also extremely straightforward. Bus number 2 from Salzburg Airport stops just a minute’s walk from the hotel, making transfers simple, quick and inexpensive. This is particularly helpful if you have luggage or an early flight.I would recommend Hotel Mercure Salzburg City to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located hotel that balances convenience with good value.     Spent 3 nights here and blessed with amazing sunny skies in November.Bus 2 from train station very easy to get around from this hotel. Ask at the reception desk for the free public transport voucher which is a fantastic initiative within Salzburg. The same bus goes to the airport.Very friendly reception staff on check in, nothing was too much trouble.The room was lovely, comfy bed, fridge and safe included.I look forward to coming back in the future.
