  Lovely hotel in a great location

  We stayed just one night here but would highly recommend it. The staff here were amongst the most helpful and friendly we've come across. Nothing was too much trouble. We were given a complimentary upgrade which was very much appreciated and our room was clean and very well equipped. Location is perfect for exploring Salzburg.   Overpriced and not a 4 star hotel

  NH Colllection Salzburg is a fine hotel. Definitely the most expensive hotel of our central Europe tour. Priced at $400/night this hotel was underwhelming and overly expensive. Perhaps due to the location.The positives are the the front reception staff members and the location. Lots of restaurants and attractions nearby. The buffet was a nice combination of A La Carte and buffet self serve items. The room extremely small but functional with quiet air conditioning. Nice in-room amenities like coffee and tea. Fluffy towels in the small weirdly laid out bathroom.   Nice modern hotel with friendly employees

  Stayed for 4 nights. Hotel is very modern and I liked the premium room, my only feedback would be there could do with some drawer space to put things away and a mirror by the table for people to do hair and make up.They have a good system that if you do not need your room cleaned you can leave a card on the door and they give you 2 free drinks (per couple) instead. We utilised this 2 days. The employees were friendly in person and helpful too via email before our arrival. It was our anniversary and we received a lovely card and sweet treats, thank you. The hotel is in a relatively good location, with bars and restaurants 5 minute walk away.There is an app where you can request things for the room such as dressing gown etc which is a good idea and this was brought within 5 minutes so very efficient.Constructive feedback - I had to answer some work emails and internet could be intermittent which was a bit frustrating.Aside from an English news channel nothing else on tv. English channels would be nice after a long day sight seeing, nice to chill for couple hours. With regards to cleaning, I had dropped some biscuits, I cleaned up as well as I could so next day I opted for cleaning instead of vouchers, when I returned the bed had been made and fresh towels but all the biscuit little crumbs still on floor. The top of headboard and back wall was very very dusty on arrival too which I cleaned with the flannel.These things weren’t big deals but just some feedback. Our only real gripe was the consistency with food available. On our first evening we were shattered as been up since 5am and then sight seeing, so got back to hotel, showered and thought instead of going back out we’d get room service, which said until 10pm on the app and reception informed us too. At 9.15pm we ordered, to be told the kitchen had closed early for the day. So my husband had to get dressed and go find us a takeaway. Another day we thought we’d eat in the bar, it was approx 6.30pm and we ordered a steak each, to be told oh our chef isn’t in so we’ve no one that can cook steak but the kitchen can do a burger!! Again we went out instead. For the price and star of the hotel, I find this disappointing.Overall a good stay with just a few tweaks and attention could be 5 star.   No phone service during my stay, and it was the one time I needed it b/c I was sick. They should have mentioned this to the guests. The hotel is devoid of character. But it's quiet, and the rooms are decent. Not great, but decent. It is not a luxury hotel at all, but gets the job done. Overpriced for what you get.
