Location

This hotel enjoys a quiet yet central position in the town. The nearest restaurants and bars are right on the hotel's doorstep, the Schallmoser Hauptstrasse bus stop is 20 m away and it is 200 m to the shops of Linzer Gasse. It lies within easy reach on foot of all historic and interesting sights, including Mirabell Palace and its gardens (350 m), theatres, churches and museums, the House of Congress, the central train station (800 m) and of course not to be missed the famous Old Town with its historic buildings and monuments (500 m). Mozart's birthplace, the Hohensalzburg Fortress, Getreidegasse and the city's cathedral are all 800 m from the hotel. Hitler's 'Eagle's Nest' is 25 km and Berchtesgaden and the Wolfgangsee lake are 32 km away. Salzburg Airport is just 4 km away from the property.

Facility

The hotel was built in 1920. 10 apartments, 5 single rooms and 46 double rooms are located on 3 storeys and can be reached by lift. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine.     Excellent hotel. Great breakfast. Very comfortable rooms. Reception staff all friendly and helpful. It’s also in a great location, close to bars and restaurants and within easy walking g distance of the Old Town. A thoroughly enjoyable stay.

    Nice Hotel Located just 2 minutes from the pedestrian area, easy parking always available, cost 20 Euro for the Garage, 7pm to 9am street parking is free and on Sat and Sundays also free on the street

    Lovely quiet and clean hotel in Salzburg . The desk staff was wonderful . Breakfast was adequate but not exceptional . Wifi was good, beds were comfortable. It is within walking distance of all attractions. I would stay there again. It was a welcome stop on our trip

    The facilities and service delivery are not to the standard of a four stars hotel. The room was not well cleaned, with a broken shower and without soap or other amenities. Very poor breakfast with low quality ingredients. I would not waste money again there again, it is not worth it. Hotel Theater, Other at Goldenes Theater Hotel, responded to this review Review written from competitor - will be removed -
