Location

This hotel is located on a hill near the River Salzach, just a few minutes from the city centre. Links to the public transport system are just 300 m from the hotel and the main train station is only a few paces away, around 3 min from the hotel, providing guests with a good starting point for various shopping excursions. It is also close to the historical and cultural highlights of Salzburg. Salzburg Airport is 8 km away.

Facility

Guests have a choice of 3 junior suites, 6 suites, 13 single rooms and 253 double rooms located in a 6-storey main building and a 6-storey auxiliary building. Multilingual staff at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a drinks machine. Wireless internet access (no extra charge) allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. A lift and wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. There are a number of shops as well. Additional amenities include a newspaper stand and a TV room. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park (for a fee). Other services include medical assistance, room service, a laundry service and a hairdresser. Active guests can make use of the bicycle hire service to explore the surrounding area. A business centre with fax machine and projector is available. 16 conference rooms are available for lectures, presentations and meetings.

Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and central heating. Rooms have a double bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe and a minibar are also available. Guests will also find a tea/coffee station included among the standard features. Further amenities include an ironing set and a trouser press. A direct dial telephone, a flatscreen television, a radio and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. A hairdryer, a vanity mirror and a telephone are provided. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. 1 wheelchair-friendly room can be booked. The hotel has family rooms and 262 non-smoking rooms.

Sport

Excellent swimming awaits guests at the indoor pool (no extra charge). Comfortable sun loungers are available on the terrace. For guests who wish to keep active, tennis, crazy golf and a putting green are available. Sport and leisure facilities at the hotel include a gym and darts. Various wellness options are available at the hotel, including a spa, a sauna, a beauty salon, massage treatments and a solarium. A casino offers additional entertainment.

Meals

Various dining options are available, including a restaurant, a breakfast room, a café and a bar. Bed and breakfast is offered as a catering option. A generous buffet awaits guests at breakfast and dinner. Alternatively, dinner can be ordered à la carte. Diet meals, gluten-free meals, vegetarian dishes and children's meals can be prepared on request. In addition, special catering options and snacks are available. The hotel offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

    Room was too warm - AC had to be reported 3 timesNo slippers or bath robes / coffee and water not replenished during 4 night day even though we were the Executive floor!Floor was not clean - they must have used the same mop over and over again ! Will not stay again

    If you are expecting a four star experience you may be disappointed. After an early start and albeit 2.5 hours before a guaranteed check in time we were directed to a lower ground floor locker area to store our bags, after struggling for 20 minutes we gave up and returned to reception who then offered to store our bags while we waited for our room, lack of customer care! No niceties in the room, if you want a cotton bud or body lotion or more than one pillow you have to request it! Even after a request for a pillow and someone to check the fridge which was not working direct to reception who wrote it down we still had to chase. Bar and breakfast staff were brilliant but certainly reception needs more training they should be there for more than just a check in facility. Comfortable but lacking in customer care.
