  Unacceptable hygiene and dorm management

  I stayed at a&o Wien Hauptbahnhof from Dec 17–21, 2025. Unfortunately, the last night (Dec 20–21) was a very bad experience.My bed was stripped during the day even though my belongings were still there. At night, I found another guest sleeping in my bed.I was assigned a different bed, but it was clearly not cleaned (stains, used tissues, trash, personal items). I had to clean and remake it myself before sleeping.This shows serious organizational and hygiene issues. Not acceptable

  Run by the most disorganised and rude staff ever. Consistently made mistakes and didn’t even bother giving bed sheets. They were also so rude about their mistakes and served people in no order. This place is a mess and doesn’t live up to its promises online. Honestly location is ok but that’s the only good thing if you’re willing to walk about 45 minutes to central. It’s also in a shady place at night. But I’m thoroughly disappointed especially when refused bedding and the constant mistakes and rude service in return.

  One in a series of experiences with poor reception at a hostel

  We arrived at the hostel around 2:30 PM and were told that our room was ready. However, when we entered, there were already guests sleeping inside. After complaining at the reception, we were told that those guests were checking out the next day and that we should share the room, which we refused.Then we were given another room key, but that room was already occupied by two other guests who had arrived the same day with the same agency. After that, the staff said they had no more rooms available.We spent more than 2.5 hours sitting at the cold reception with all our luggage, without any solution, on New Year’s Eve. Finally, by pure luck, we were given a room that was still being cleaned. One of the beds wasn’t even prepared and the cleaner told us to make the bed ourselves.This level of disorganization is unacceptable, especially when the stay is paid in advance. Very disappointing experience.

  This was our third stay at this hotel, so please take our experience SERIOUSLY. The price is relatively low and in the past, the facilities more or less matched our expectations.During this visit, however, one of our personal belongings was stolen from our room, very likely by a member of the room service staff. It was not an expensive item, but what truly upset us was how lightly the hotel seemed to treat the incident and our concerns.Because we needed documentation for our travel insurance, we reported the case to the police. The officer handling our case told us this hotel has serious security problems: CCTV is only installed at the reception, not on each floor, and room thefts are reportedly a frequent occurrence. According to the officer, the hotel also fails to maintain proper records of which staff members enter which rooms, making it almost impossible to investigate when something goes missing.If you still want to live here, please have your insurance ready and GOOD LUCK :D這是我們第三次入住這間酒店了，所以請大家認真看一下我們的經歷。這裏的房間的確很便宜，因此我們才一再到訪。但這次入住期間，我們房間內的個人物品卻遭到偷竊，相信是由房務人員所為。雖然被偷走的東西不算昂貴，但是真正令我們憤怒的是酒店對這件事輕率和不上心的態度。由於我們需要向保險公司提交文件，所以當下立刻報了警。負責我們案件的警員向我們表示，這間酒店存在嚴重的保安漏洞：酒店只在大堂接待處安裝CCTV，其餘各樓層均沒有安裝，所以房間失竊是「經常發生」的情況。此外，警員還提到，酒店沒有妥善記錄當日值班房務人員，一旦有東西遺失，不論是酒店還是警方也不可能追查到。如果你看完後仍然決定入住這裡，請事先買好旅遊保險。祝你好運。

  check in took forever because there was 1 computer and the line was very congested. room is comfortable enough and bathroom is clean but it is unreasonable that there are no plug sockets in the room. i looked all over and saw 1 or 2 that of course were being used. there are 6 beds and definitely not enough plugs for all of them. they’re also random and not aligned to the beds. if you’re on a top bunk, you definitely won’t be able to charge. very inconvenient and a dealbreaker for me.
