  We booked and paid for the night never received check in instructions. Could not get in. Refused to return our money but sent check out instructions.

  What you see in the photo is not what awaits you when you get there, the hotel name does not exist as such. But that is the least.Before you arrive you should get an email with the room number and the code for the key-holder. The email duly arrived but ... Instead of numbers there was the writing 'insert number here'. What follows is a phone-call to an overseas (Austrian) number - and a long half an hour attempt by the person on the other side of the line to (finally) find the booking. Ok, so finally we are in, it is evening. Next comes breakfast.The worst experience of the lifetime. The person working in the dining room requests to see what I am caring in my little bag, just in case that I may have stolen a piece of bread or made a sandwich to take away, which is of course not allowed. The room key does not seem to work for more than 48 hours - we stayed five nights and had to get it reset four times. What a shame - the hotel would have been a good value for money and a very decent one (nice and clean rooms and bathrooms) had it not been for the staff.

  Worst Hotel – Scam, Avoid at All Costs! ⭐☆☆☆☆

  This is not a hotel – this is a scam! Smart Hotel Schönbrunn deceived us with false advertising and completely ruined our stay in Vienna. The hotel is advertised on Booking as having free parking, but when we arrived, they suddenly told us there were no available spots, without any prior notice.We contacted them a day before arrival, and they assured us that we would receive check-in instructions the next day. Of course, they never sent them! We had to stand outside the hotel, waiting for instructions that never came. After repeatedly messaging them, they finally sent us the check-in details, but not for the garage. When we insisted on getting access to the parking, they casually informed us that there were no available spaces, even though we specifically booked this hotel because of the free parking!Their first "solution"? Cancel your reservation, get your money back, and stay on the street in freezing temperatures with a child! Their second option was for us to accept parking in a public garage at our own inconvenience, and they would cover the cost. How is this an acceptable way to treat guests who booked based on false promises?On top of everything, there is no staff at the hotel! If you need help with anything, there is literally no one to turn to. The atmosphere is depressing, the service is nonexistent, and the whole experience felt like a nightmare.If you don’t want to start your trip to Vienna with stress, frustration, and wasted money, stay far away from this place!🚨

  I got a good price, and thought that with the public transport nearby it would be a good place to stay. The trouble is that the nearby public transport doesn't really get you anywhere you want to go - not to the train station of to the main sights! So we ended up getting taxis - money that would have been better spent on a nice hotel.This hotel is unstaffed most of the day - so if you have a problem with your room key, you're in deep trouble. They don't send you instructions on how to obtain your room key (you need a code for a lock box) until you've completed your online checkin - so if you don't have internet connection you're in deep trouble. And the online checkin doesn't work for two rooms on a single booking - you'll need to start a WhatsApp chat to get the 2nd lock box details - so you'll really need internet access.The rooms were very small, but ok. The only trouble I had was with the bottom of the bed, where I smashed open my toe on the nasty shaped end, as I squeezed past. The room lacks basic things like a kettle - so don't expect too much.The bathroom was fine - decent water pressure in the shower.The top floor with nice views - which the hotel uses in all their advertising - is only open for breakfast. It's locked during the rest of the day - which is a bit cheeky when they promote it so much.In the morning when we were leaving, the cleaner tried to get us out of the room before checkout time. This was the final insult in an already unpleasant stay.Do NOT come to Smart Hotel Schönbrunn / HB1 Design & Budget Inn / whatever they currently call themselves.

  + ve'sThe beds where decent and clean It was cheap. There is a Penny supermarket right next to the hotel.- ve'sThe rooms was very dusty and the toilet was not clean. The AC didn't work (it was blocked on fan/ventilation)There was no place to hang your clothesThe room on the side of the street was very noisy (can't sleep with windows open)It is far from the city center and did not feel like a safe neighborhood, all the money we saved ended up paying on Taxis.
