    HUGE rooms, central location, view of the cathedral, rich & clean linens, comfy bed, outstanding service (more than once they offered to make reservations for us at the Opera House & help with train connections- above and beyond). Worth every penny- highly recommend staying here!

    An Oasis in Old Town

    Aviano is an outstanding hotel, managed by the same family for many years. They are located in the heart of Old Town Vienna in a beautiful historic building. The location is second to none. You can walk to many major attractions in just a few minutes and the area is littered with great dining, shopping and people watching. Despite the central location, Aviano offers a quiet oasis within the busy Vienna core. Once inside the hotel, you will find an amazingly quiet atmosphere where you can relax and unwind. The rooms have been recently renovated and offer every convenience including modern, easily controlled HVAC, while keeping the elegant decor of Old Vienna. We especially loved the traditional red and gold furnishings, the royal colors of the bygone Habsburg empire. We found the staff, especially Sophie and Polina, to be extremely friendly, professional and helpful. Breakfast is included and they serve up a delicious, fresh meal each morning, with lots of diverse options. You will not find a better Vienna accommodation. Note: Rick Steves lists Aviano as one of his Vienna favorites, and we can see why!

    Wonderful Boutique Hotel

    We stayed in one of the large suites (3 adults) and the room was beautiful and roomy. The bathroom and shower were nice, the beds comfortable and we had a nice view of the plaza. Aviano is in a good location and they have the top two floors of the building. Breakfast was good and the young man was so friendly and helpful. If we return, we will stay here again. As with most hotels in Europe, the lift is small so if that bothers you then be willing to walk up 5-6 floors. We really enjoyed this hotel and everyone we met was helpful.

    The Aviano is a wonderful small hotel. Our room was spotlessly prepared, the bed was comfortable, there was room to stretch out, and it was quiet. The bathroom was roomy and the hot water was plentiful. The breakfast buffet was very good. Best of all, the staff was friendly, professional, and very helpful. The hotel is family-owned, and the staff welcomed us as part of the family. Very nice!     Perfect location and great rooms!

    What a gem of a hotel! It’s close to everything…just off the Kartnerstrasse it’s a perfect location! Close to Opera, Metro, St. Stephen’s, Sisi Palace! Rooms were so beautiful and hotel staff was very helpful! Loved my stay!Sonia the manager was incredibly helpful and always friendly no matter how busy she was! Rest of staff was always friendly and helpful! Breakfasts were nice with beautiful daily yogurt parfaits, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs and warm sausages in addition to the typical breakfast food. They rotated various breads so it wasn’t exactly the same every day. The breads in the basket are brought put warm.
