  Value in the heart of the grand city!

  This is a stellar location! Right in the thick of Vienna' offerings, be it history, culture, architecture, dining, or shopping. The price for this location might indicate some kind of thirst tier property, but this is a very nice place; nicer than any Hilton I've stayed at stateside and costing little more than a generic Hilton in a typical American city. Despite being in the middle of the action, our room was very quiet and conducive to good sleep.

  Great stay in the heart of Vienna

  We had such a wonderful stay! This hotel is in a perfect location, close to everything you’ll want to see. We asked for a quiet room and slept like babies. The bathroom in the King Superior room is a European dream. So spacious and perfect for two people. The hotel staff are all incredibly helpful and we especially appreciated the bartender, Fabian. He made me one of the best Hugo Spritz I’ve ever had. We will absolutely stay here again if we’re ever back in Vienna.

  As a Hilton honk member we we allowed early check in and we given a courtyard view room. It was super quiet. The staff were wonderful. Unlike some of our other European hotels, the air conditioning worked well, which was wonderful because we don’t do well sleeping with duvets. The location was perfect. I hurt my knee and found that we were close to everything we wanted to visit. The only thing I would not bother with if I returned is breakfast. It was expensive and not great compared to offer at local cafes.

  Stayed for a week, service was great. & staff was friendly. Was able to get a room right away upon arrival. Fantastic location, close to Karlsplatz for public transportation which I used several times to get to Belvedere Palace and Schönbrunn Palace, etc. Many sights were walking distance such as Hofburg Palace, Albertina Museum and St. Stephen's Cathedral. Several restaurants within walking distance (no restaurant at hotel). Small bar in the lobby., not a lot of street noise. Would stay again.

  Historic building, can't beat the location, excellent staff

  We stayed at the Hotel Astoria, in a King Premium room, for 2 weeks. I'll address the one negative aspect first and that is the noise from the pedestrian Kartnerstrasse (that goes on all night). The hotel was built in 1912 and has had a recent (opened as Hilton in May 2025) 1.5 year long renovation. I understand that changing the exterior facade wasn't realistic (or permissible?) so the full length original windows are present and serve as doors to the tiny balconies for rooms that have balconies. They don't do a good job blocking noise and they're also pretty drafty. I'd suggest you ask for a room on the upper floors, facing the side street (Fuhrichgasse) and bring good earplugs (or ask the desk - they have a drawer full).Other than that, our stay was excellent. The breakfast buffet is extensive and you can also have egg dishes (Benedict, Florentine, etc) cooked to order. We found the staff to be extremely helpful and friendly. Housekeeping was outstanding. We found that, if we put out the "please clean room" sign, it would be done within the hour. The number one feature here is location. You're less than 15 minutes from a dozen major museums and attractions and 5 minutes from two U-bahn stations. I saw a stat that there are over 300 restaurants in the immediate area. We had a great time in Vienna and wouldn't hesitate to stay at the Astoria again.
