  Very tiny room, but convenient location, read all the reviews!

  The best thing about this "hotel" is its location. 10 minute walk from the Museum Quarters and about 20 minutes from the Opera House. It is located on a shopping street, though the brands there are not top of the line. There are lots of food choices nearby also. On the down side, the room was tiny. We had a room with a queen bed for two people, and the headboard was literally just 7 feet from the wall where the TV was mounted, and the entire room was probably only 7 ft x 12 ft. On the website, this is shown as a 4-star hotel, but in reality it should be 1- or 2-star given its facilities. In other cities, this would probably have been called a hostel with private rooms. For the price we paid, this was not what we had expected. I should have read all the reviews before I booked, instead of just looking at the overall rating. Tripadvisor shows that Schani Salon Hotel is #26 out of 396 hotels in Vienna, and that simply cannot be true, given there are plenty of highend hotels in Vienna.   Great Hotel

  We stayed here for 2 nights last week and had a great time. Location wise was excellent, just a few steps from the L3 underground line which linked directly to the airport trains. The hotel was lovely and quiet, staff were lovely and helpful. Rooms were quirky and very comfortable. Breakfast, as described is very good coffee, good quality juices, croissants and fruit…. Plenty to get you started for the feasting available in Vienna later in the day. We did have an issue with our keycard not working late at night, but very quickly resolved. Highly recommended, we’ll be back. Look out for an excellent cocktail bar in the next street Agent Oscar and if you’re a steak fan, Door No8 restaurant.   Great hotel in a perfect location

  We spent three nights here and had a lovely stay.The hotel is in a great location and a great base for a short stay in Vienna.We were warmly greeted on arrival and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are well equipped and the beds are very comfortable.You’re able to help yourself to coffee/ tea at any time of day.Croissants were on offer for breakfast every morning and they were warm and delicious- the only thing I found a little disappointing was that there was nothing else on offer for breakfast. I would have loved some decent bread or a yogurt to fuel my day.I would highly recommend and would also love to return to Hotel Schani Salon.

  Good hotel in lively street close to Museum Quarter

  Finding the hotel is not easy since it does not really have a “hotel entrance” but just a sign. Once you arrive, you need to press the bottom so that they open the door for you. Then take the elevator, which is an antique, and once you arrive, it looks like a bar. There is a coffee machine that offers free coffee and croissants. Reception is not warm but efficient. You have to let them know if you want your room cleaned otherwise they won’t do it. Room was dark even during the day. No toiletries offered, no slippers, shower cap, etc. There is a Nespresso machine but since there is a better machine at reception we did not take advantage of it. Reception area is lively. Upon leaving, the girl working that shift was nice for a change. She helped us with identifying the right train station and where to call the Uber. The best aspect of this hotel is the location hands down. Otherwise, it is highly overpriced for what it offers.   Good situation but bad cleaning service

  Good hotel located in the center of Wien.Our room was dusty but confortable.No bootle of water availble in the room but you can buy one of 0.33l for 3.7€ ...
