  Good for a Short Stay, But Missing Some Basic Amenities

  Overall, my stay at Ibis Wien Messe was good. The hotel is simple and works well if you’re just looking for a place to sleep and go. The location is convenient, as it is very close to two metro stations, which makes getting around Vienna very easy.However, the room lacks several basic amenities. There is no minibar, no telephone to contact reception, no safe box, and the bathroom does not have a proper ventilation system. Despite these missing features, the hotel is still a practical option for a short stay if your main priority is location and a clean place to rest.   Check in was not easy, on arrival the receptionist couldn’t find us on the system so sent us next door without even asking for our reservation no, luckily a staff member at the Ibis budget sorted things out.We stayed in a Sherlock Holmes themed room which we found a little odd?! The room was very basic, no kettle or tea and coffee facilities. No bedroom bin.The bed was rock hard and appeared to be a mattress topper on a bed base.Room service didn’t take away dirty cups etc but did replace towels and make up the beds.We did not try the food or bar.Most staff were friendly and helpful.I would not stay here again but the location of the hotel was excellent for us. Easy to take the underground a couple of stops to the city centre for major tourist attractions.We also found a fantastic little bar, Mahrischer Spatz 1925, for food and drink literally across the road and went there two nights in a row as it was so good!   OK Hotel in good location

  We stayed in this hotel in August 2025. It was our the very first experience with IBIS chain. Bad surprise that this hotel didn't have neither fridge nor microwave in a room. However, room itself has good size for European hotels. We were able to move around and place our suitcases there. Very close to subway and train stations, which made travel to/from airport super easy. Not many restaurants around, but we found couple grocery stores in 5 minutes walk and it helped.   Might try to boil you

  The water temperature was dangerously unstable, 3-5 seconds of icy water and 3-5 seconds of water hot enough to literally boil your skin off, constantly alternating.   Would highly recommended this Ibis, Excellent location, just 3 stops on the metro to Stephansplatz the main town, and lots of amenities. The hotel staff friendly and helpful. Very clean bedrooms and bathroom. Breakfast choice also very good.
