This elegant hotel is very popular thanks to its excellent location in the heart of historical Vienna. It lies in a quiet, cobbled sidestreet close to St. Charles Church, the State Opera House and Ringstraße. Vienna's famous shopping promenades are within convenient reach of the hotel and guests will find restaurants, bars, the underground train station Karlsplatz and parking facilities all within 500 m of the hotel. It is just 500 m from Theater an der Wien, 900 m from the Spanish Riding School and St. Stephan's Cathedral and 1.5 km from the city's museums (Albertina, Art, Nature, Sissi Museum). Vienna Airport is 25 km away.

The hotel was built in 1896. 3 junior suites, 4 suites, 7 single rooms and 62 double rooms are located on 6 storeys and can be reached by 2 lifts. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A fireplace creates a cosy atmosphere. Air conditioning and individually adjustable heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures.     I highly recommend this beautiful hotel which is in a quiet side street. The staff were outstanding, very friendly and so helpful. The room was immaculate and had everything we needed. The breakfast buffet was lovely with lots of choices. The location is great as it's only a short walk to the centre and public transport.     IF AIR-CONDITIONING IN IMPORTANT TO YOU DO NOT STAY HERE. it gets very warm in Vienna in the summer months, including May. They say there’s air-conditioning but my room is in the high 20s to 30 (80f). For this reason, our air-conditioning system automatically switches off under these conditions, which may affect indoor temperatures at certain times.     The location of this hotel is fantastic, at 10 min by walk from the opera and the historic district, but located on a very quiet street. The rooms quality varies according to your selection. We chose a romantic room and we're very happy with it (large room, sound proof with a padded door, a rare treat now a day). The buffet breakfast was very generous. But best of all was the staff , namely the lovelyn girls at the reception, Milica who moved mountains to give us the room early as we came from overseas, and Alicia who did miracle to get us prime tickets for the best concert in town on which we had a booking issue.Thanks to all the staff, Simon, Robert, and all of them , for making our stay in Vienna a memorable experience!
