This attractive hotel is situated in the former State Printing House directly by the Botanical Gardens of Belvedere palace. Schwarzenbergplatz is located around 500 m from the hotel, the city centre and St. Stephen's Cathedral about 800 m, whilst the exhibition grounds are approximately 1.5 km, the Austria Centre some 2 km and Vienna airport around 25 km.

    Location is wonderful but the hotel feels old.

    When my wife and I first arrived, the lack of color and the old interior was a small shock. Then being put in a room with twin beds really surprised us but the staff did move us quickly. However, you are steps away from the Belvedere Palace and a tram that takes you to the heart of Vienna. If only there were more dinner options in the neighborhood. But location does go a long way when you look to save money.

    This hotel is located close to public transport making getting around Vienna very easy. The room was spacious and well-appointed, and the staff were very courteous and helpful. The breakfast buffet was very good, exactly what you would expect from a hotel of this classification. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Vienna.     We had two rooms on the second floor at the front of the hotel. There is secondary glazing in place, but it is ineffective at blocking out the traffic noise. The showers are positioned so that it is difficult for anyone over about 170cm to use them. Admittedly, we booked standard (rather than superior) rooms at this four (and not five) star NH hotel, so we weren't expecting perfection. But we were expecting somewhere where we could sleep well and shower easily, and this hotel didn't provide for either of these essentials. More positively, we found the location to be a good compromise for sightseeing (nice walk to the centre and ideal for the Belvedere park) , and the 'faded grandeur' interior is interesting.
