  Excellent stay at Novotel Wien City Donau! The location is superb, just a short walk from the metro, making travel around Vienna extremely convenient. The rooms are very well designed and comfortable. Supermarket is across the street. They do not have a dedicated restaurant so be mindful of that. So do not book this property with the midset of a conventional hotel with fitness centre, restaurant etc. A special mention for Rihanna, whose exceptional service and warm smile truly made our stay memorable. She was incredibly helpful throughout and even assisted us with drinks when the bartender was unavailable. Truly outstanding hospitality.Would definitely love to stay here again and would highly recommend this property to others visiting Vienna.   Comfortable, quiet and spacious.

  The room was well presented - clean, everything worked and the bed was especially comfortable. Breakfast was expensive so I passed. (There's a nice little café across the road and Billa 2 mins walk away).Strangely, the room was provided with a microwave as well as coffee machine, fridge and kettle - but no plates or cutlery if you did use the microwave. Luckily,another reviewer had highlighted this so....forwarned, forearmed!!One strange anomaly: Google maps positions the hotel at the Ubahn end of the street. In fact it's the other end - you can check it on street view!Would stay here again. Very easy to access and a nice area.   Clean, comfortable and very convenient

  Wonderful hotel as a base for a long weekend in Vienna. Very easy transport access, just 2 mins walk from the metro which is one stop to the railway station and 4 stops to the city centre. Spotlessly clean suite with a microwave and fridge if you want to prepare basic meals (we didn’t). The staff were great but special mention to the lovely Chantal who was nothing but helpful from the moment we arrived, flustered and stressed after flight delay due to the snow and with minutes to spare for our evening booking for the Light of Creation show at the Votive Church! The rooms were extremely quiet so we slept very well the three nights we were there. The breakfast looked amazing but we decided to go into the centre as we did feel €25 each was quite expensive for a continental and would add a substantial amount to the cost of the weekend and we’d be eating at lunchtime.The hotel is highly recommended!   An Ibis with Novotel branding

  Check-in was fast and efficient and our room was large with a comfortable bed. It had a small moulded modular bathroom that you’d expect at a budget Ibis. We requested an extra pillow and coat hangers. These never came.The microwave in our room was broken. We were told that because it was a weekend, no maintenance staff were available to look at it. That’s fair enough. But the front desk staff were unable to bring a microwave from another room because “only maintenance staff can unplug appliances”. As a result we had to pack and move rooms. A major hassle, especially as we couldn’t change rooms directly and had to store our luggage for a day.Staff were unaware of Accor status benefits and had to consult a manager. The range at the breakfast buffet was consistent with other Novotel properties with a selection of hot and cold options. No barista coffee is available. However, there is insufficient seating leading to long wait times for a table. The buffet is also poorly laid out leading to congestion in walkways. Staff were unaware of Accor status benefits?Location is close to a subway station and the price was cheaper than other mid-tier Accor properties in Vienna, perhaps reflecting both the location and quality.Pros*Comfortable bed, good size room.*One block to metro.*Stable wifi with good speeds.Cons*Basic bathroom.*Poor service with staff not guest focussed.*Chaotic breakfast.*Pets allowed = Barking dog.*Slow liftsOverallExpect an Ibis at a Novotel price and you won’t be disappointed.   Novotel Suites Vienna is a very family-friendly hotel and a great choice when traveling with children. The location is excellent, with the metro just a short walk away, making it easy and convenient to reach most of Vienna’s main attractions. The rooms are spacious and comfortable for families, and the staff are extremely friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help.
