  Perfect customer service!

  My friends and I were originally booked to stay at this property, however, a few days after booking I was informed that they unfortunately had some unexpected water damage in some of the rooms, including ours, and was therefore unfit for guests. Without any hassle or problems or additional cost, the management swiftly re-booked us into their sister hotel just round the corner. All done smoothly and professionally. Even though we didn't stay at this particular property, I wanted to write a positive review to showcase just how perfect their customer service was to us! That is how it should always be! Well done to Pension Mariahilf! If I'm ever in Vienna again, I will certainly book again! Thank you.

  I am very unhappy that I ever stayed here. I was pleasantly surprised by how centrally located the hotel is, but within a couple of days learned that it is totally not worth it. We had seen reviews about bed bugs going in, but had been assured the problem was taken care of. It was not. I traveled with a large group and we had almost every room in the hotel booked for a month. Night one, a group was moved to a different hotel because of bed bug bites. I initially saw none in my room. My second morning, I woke up early enough due to jet lag to be awake when bed bugs are active and saw 5 within my room. I was also moved to a new hotel. They were on the walls, beds, and I saw a few in my bedside table. Nearly every other room that I spoke to saw signs to suggest their rooms also had bed bugs (such as marks on the sheets, bugs themselves, or bites). We ended up canceling our reservation and scrambled to find new accommodations. There was also a lot of stress about having to clean all of our belongings to prevent taking any bugs or eggs home with us. No one should be staying at this hotel until the problem is truly taken care of. I would be very skeptical to believe the problem was taken care of however, since it was not true for us. While I know other people in my group had more positive interactions with the owner about the whole mess, to me he seemed bothered and annoyed when I told him about the bugs in my room.

  BED BUGS!!!

  The owner was very nice but they don't seem to understand how to eradicate bedbugs. They seem to think that bug spray and clean sheets will fix it. Unfortunately this is not the case. We had to spend a whole day of our trip washing everything we own. Some items can't stand the high heat required to kill the larvae so many things were ruined. The hotel is nice enough and in a great location but BED BUGS are not acceptable and they don't seem to care about getting rid of them properly.

  I had the most horrible experience there. The room was full of bedbugs. When we asked the owner he accused us of bringing them and said that he cannot be blamed for the bugs that are brought by others

  Centrally very well located 25 yards from Underground station. Lots of nearby shops.

  We stayed for a full week. The staff were very helpful. The accommodation well appointed. The WiFi worked well. The only small minus point was that breakfast is not provided in the hotel, but in the Merkur supermarket restaurant opposite, where we were supplied with cold coffee two days in succession. 25 yards from the hotel is a baker who has a great range of what bakers do, and does excellent coffee. The hotel provides excellent value for money, and we would gladly stay there again. Sunday breakfast (Merkur closed) was provided in the hotel, and was good.
