Location

The Coral Sands Resort is perched on a cliff overlooking the turquoise Atlantic Ocean in the Bahamas. It is situated oceanfront in the heart of serene Harbour Island, just off of North Eleuthera. Restaurants, bars and shops are within walking distance. Dumore Town is also just a short walk away.

Facility

Guests have a choice of 38 rooms. English-speaking staff at the 24-hour reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Services such as a baggage storage service and a safe ensure a comfortable stay. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional amenities include a TV room and a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park. Further services and facilities include a 24-hour security service, a babysitting service, a childcare service, a car hire service, medical assistance, room service (for a fee) and a laundry service. Active guests can make use of the bicycle hire service (for a fee) to explore the surrounding area. The business centre is on hand for guests' business requirements and provides a fax machine.

Rooms

Air conditioning, central heating and a fan ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Most units include a balcony with sea views, where guests can relax and linger a while. The rooms have a double bed and a sofa bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Additional features include a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. There is a direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio and WiFi (no extra charge) in the rooms. A turndown service provides guests with additional comfort in the evening hours. A hairdryer and bathrobes are available in the bathrooms, which are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. The resort has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

Sport

Guests can enjoy a refreshing swim in the outdoor pool area. A short break or an entire afternoon on the sun terrace, which features sun loungers and parasols, is time well spent. The pool bar serves a selection of refreshing drinks. The resort offers an extensive outdoor sport and leisure programme, which includes tennis and fishing. For a fee, guests can also enjoy cycling/mountain biking and horse riding. A number of sports are available, including water sports such as kayaking and snorkelling. For a fee, guests can also enjoy water skiing, windsurfing, jet skiing, motorboat rides, canoeing, sailing, catamaraning and diving. Sport and leisure facilities at the resort include a gym, billiards and aerobics. After a long day, guests can relax in the wellness area, which features a spa and a solarium. Massage treatments are among the facilities available for an extra fee. Guests of all ages have the opportunity to enjoy a fun entertainment programme.

Meals

Dining facilities include a dining room, a breakfast room and a bar. The non-smoking restaurant provides high chairs for children. A delicious breakfast is an excellent reason to rise and shine. At lunch and dinner, guests can order dishes à la carte or choose a set menu. Diet meals and children's meals can be prepared on request. The resort also offers special catering options. The resort offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

    If I could give my experience at Coral Sands 10 stars out of 5 I would! I recently stayed there with my daughter before her bachelorette weekend and I don't think I've ever stayed at a place that the staff was so friendly, helpful and accommodating and genuinely cared about our stay! The room we had was perfect! I'd like to give a special shout out to Myckell Higgs at the front desk. She was beyond helpful and made my daughter's bachelorette week amazing and an experience that she will never forget. Denise and Romada were also super friendly and accommodating. We had amazing food and service by Emerald at the Beach Bar. Dora at the beach made sure we were happy. We can't wait to go back to Coral Sands. It truly is paradise.

    Used to be our go to for several meals when on island. This trip dinner was terrible. Service was extremely poor and food was simply unacceptable. We ordered drinks with dinner and never received them. We sat 20 minutes staring at empty appetizer plates and finally had a pasta dish that probably would not even have been acceptable on a children's menu. We were warned by others but discounted it based on past experience. New owners need to get the establishment back on track.     Completely deceiving experience

    Last January I made a booking at this hotel for next Christmas unfortunately I had a job issue and 10 days later I asked them to cancel it. But when they cancel the booking, they retain 50% as penalty. I explained that the booking was for 11 months later and they have enough time to fill up the booked room...they did not care. Not only I'll lose 6.500 dollars but I'm very surprised they think even 11 months ahead they won't be able to feel up their rooms in the high season in an island that hasn't got many hotel offers...is their structure that bad?     Nice hotel on beautiful beach, but go elsewhere for dinner.

    Our room with balcony was lovely, except on the last night when AC didn't work at all. The beach is spectacular. Dinner at the hotel's restaurant, called the Pink Mermaid, was awful and expensive. We tried it 3 times during week long stay, mostly just because it was convenient, and each time it disappointed.     A Wonderful Stay at Coral SandsWe just returned from a lovely stay at Coral Sands in Harbour Island and cannot say enough about what a special property it is. The hotel strikes the perfect balance of being attentive without ever making you feel watched or overwhelmed. The entire staff makes you feel genuinely welcome from the moment you arrive.Two team members in particular truly stood out. Dora, who runs the beach, is an absolute ray of sunshine. She makes every guest feel special and takes great care in making sure your beach setup is perfect. It’s also such a pleasure that there is no pressure to wake up at the crack of dawn to secure a beach chair on this spectacular stretch of pink sand - everything feels relaxed and well managed.At reception, Romada is an absolute delight. She is organized, enthusiastic, and always willing to help.
