    Little Gem

    rating23 May 2026

Beautiful little hotel in Christchurch. We’ve had a fab time here but will give you an honest review of our stay. Pro’s Food, food is good here, breakfast great everything you cld want. Chopsticks is fantastic, we visited twice and throughly enjoyed the food. (Asian influence)Lunch at the beach bar drifters really nice food all fresh to order as in pizzas burgers fries and hot dogs salads etc. Al la Carte exceptional, then there’s a buffet. Rooms Rooms are big and spacious but the bathrooms are in need of renovation, our bathroom door didn’t even close. Beds extremely comfortable and good size balcony. Need more light in the rooms, very dark, could do with a long mirror for us girls, and boys! Bar, never had to wait for a drink and socialable bar staff. However no cushions on the sofas but I’m being picky here! Staff friendly, most of them. Pool area. We struggled with this, very small area by pool to sunbath and beds crammed in and poor quality, must be totally overcrowded in school holidays. Beautiful lazy river type, running through the middle of grounds and nice and shallow. Beach, beach small and won’t be here for too long needs sorting out. Very rocky also so don’t forget your beach jelly shoes. Entertainment was very good, they had a great singer a few days and the usual water games and bingo. We hired a car to see the island, worth doing as such a beautiful place and small to do in a few hours. Little shop on site, lady not pushy at selling. Lastly had to mention Savannah the hotels cat, very sweet. Xx Lots of trips to do and restaurants near by if you want to try on your stay but food so good here we stayed put. Barbados is a beautiful place to visit but you pay a lot to visit, although a good 3 star 🌟 plus other hotels seemed more luxurious but Savannah is so relaxed and small with only 93 rooms, lots and lots of steps but a good rustic vibe. Gorgeous little find, loved it. But if you want a beach hols this isn’t for you.

    Great location, lovely hotel

    rating21 May 2026

Myself and a friend stayed here for 2 weeks from beginning of May and overall had a lovely holiday on an all inclusive basis. The hotel is well located close to the Garrison, which is about 10 mins walk, and is within easy access of Bridgetown, St Lawrence Gap and Oistins. Our room was in the Pearl wing on the 1st floor and was a twin with 2 queen size beds and good aircon. It had a balcony and stairs down to the lazy river which was a real bonus. You could also see the beach and sea easily. The staff, in the main, were lovely (including the hotel cat, Savannah). Very friendly and chatty with the exception of a couple of the girls who were a little curt and surly. The food and drink was fine but I struggled on occasion as I don't eat anything spicy so a couple of themed buffet nights were a bit of a challenge - Mexican, Bajan etc. I did eat though so can't complain. The A la Carte nights were very good, although there were only 2 of these on offer during our 14 nights, and we also enjoyed a couple of nights at Chopstix. Breakfast was plentiful and very good. We did do lunch twice just to try it which I found better than the evening offerings on some occasions. We didn't try the afternoon tea so can't comment on that. Now for the negatives although I must say these in no way spoilt our stay and are more of an observation that in our eyes would improve the hotel and the services it offers. The rooms were serviced daily which we thought unnecessary. By all means a daily towel change, bin emptied and toilet roll refill is needed but we would have preferred to have had the room cleaned less often but more thoroughly - mirrors, tv screen (which was marked from the day we moved in), more thorough bathroom clean (tiles) etc. It could be that as the season slows down the rooms just need a thorough spring clean and it was noted that there was seasonal maintenance going on with refurbishment whilst we were there so they do appear to b on the ball with this. The hotel would benefit from a coffee bar and more importantly, an ice cream parlour. Yes you could get tea and coffee from the bar but its not the same when in a paper cup and from pre-filled jugs. You can buy ice creams from the onsite shop but a proper ice cream offering would be a big plus. The hotel management need to action the eroding of the on site beach. Another year or so and I don't think the beach, what little there is, will exist and the sea will start encroaching onto the restaurant terrace.Having said all that, we did have a fabulous holiday and enjoyed our stay at Savannah Beach. We would certainly recommend although for beach lovers its sadly not a good one here any longer.

    Absolutely great family holiday

    rating16 May 2026

We just spent 10 nights at this hotel and I have nothing but good things to say about savannah beach hotel. The staff here were incredible, friendly and helpful in every way. They made our stay here perfect 👌. Don't listen to bad reviews, as a family of 6 here we couldn't understand where these bad reviews come from. Clean hotel, amazing staff from start to finish. Even though Ramon could not beat us at connect 4 😄 we highly recommend this hotel and once again thank you to all staff for making our holiday perfect. Especially the bar staff, I must have been a handful at times !!!! Thanks from Matthew and family. See you again one day Rodcliff Massiah, General Manager at Savannah Beach Club Hotel, responded to this review Dear MichellebK2252DZ,I am pleased that you chose the Savannah Hotel for your Barbados vacation experience.I appreciate that you highlighted the staff as they are our greatest asset. We look forward to welcoming you back soon and perhaps to another fateful game of connect 4 with Ramon.

Ok but not first choice !

    rating15 May 2026

Hotel is not bad . Many steps , not suitable for anyone with mobility issues . Rooms are ok but bar staff questionable. They tend to be rude and off hand and in a rush so don’t deserve a tip. I would , like us it’s somewhere to sleep with breakfast but be out all day . Food appears to be of low standard and often limited in choice . Many choices to eat in the evening but would not recommend here. Would I gone back ? Not really , unless I am limited on choice

I spent a week at Savannah Beach Club with my family, including a 4 and nearly 1 year old. Majority of the staff were soo friendly, welcoming and made a real effort with our kids - which we really appreciated. The Kids Club was great and very well-run. The three restaurants all had excellent quality food and staff were very accommodating. Someone even offered to hold our littlest one to allow us to eat in peace one evening! The room was a good size, very clean and good air con. We really enjoyed spending time in the pool and walking along the coast. We would happily return here and would recommend. A particular thank you to everyone who made our little ones feel so special!
