Location

This attractive hotel was designed by the famous US architect, Michael Graves, and distinguishes itself through its extravagant form. It lies between the train station and the pedestrianised area and within a short distance of Aquatopia Aquarium and the zoo. Links to the public transport network lie just a couple of minutes away (about 100 m away).

Facility

The hotel has 229 rooms, which are located on 8 storeys and are reachable by lift. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities available at the hotel include a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. Souvenirs can be purchased at the gift shop. Additional facilities include a TV room. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park.     A traumatizing experience from start to finish

    Feeling totally traumatized. We had just checked in at the Radisson Blu and were very excited because we had specifically booked a room for its view of the beautiful Antwerpen Central Station, a classified monument. Unfortunately, the room we were given had no such view.When we returned to reception, we were told that the view is only subject to availability, which was surprising given that we had booked the room six months in advance. A rather tense discussion followed with the manager, who seemed very accustomed to handling this type of complaint — suggesting it may happen quite frequently.What was most disappointing was the complete lack of empathy or even a simple apology. The tone of the conversation escalated quickly, which is a very unfortunate way to begin a long-awaited weekend.At the end of our stay, we requested a late checkout, assuming that after the initial issue it would be granted without difficulty. Unfortunately, the stay ended much like it began, with a lack of consideration and very poor service.Radisson Blu should seriously consider investing in customer service and empathy training for its managers. This is certainly not how loyal or regular guests expect to be welcomed.     Even though I wrote that I came for my wife's birthday, nothing was done. reception is not answering the phones. Breakfast isn't worth the money. It's in a very good location.     Dirty underwear and overdue maintenance

    The room was overdue maintenance, we were staying in room 601 - there were cracks in the ceiling inside the bathroom, the rails of the curtains inside the shower were hanging and on the verge of breaking. We found dirty underwear under our beds. The air conditioner/thermostat wasn't working at all so we had to sleep with the windows open. The passes to our rooms stopped working on night two (we were only staying for two nights). Staying here is not worth your money. To top things off, we told all this to the hotel staff during checking out and two weeks later they yet have to come back to us and handle our complaints. Communication with the hotel staff is poor. This was supposed to be a romantic getaway during the holidays, we wished for our room to be somewhat romantically decorated, hence why I called the hotel for this. She was going to transfer me to another member of their staff, which she failed to do because she hang up. I tried calling again multiple times through different numbers without success, I sent an email without receiving a reply back. Again, poor communication. I really do not recommend this hotel. If you want true for your money I suggest to seek another hotel.     The hotel has a great location and a fantastic view. Unfortunately, my stay was ruined on the first night. After a long journey by both plane and train, we arrived at the hotel and discovered a menstrual stain on the bed sheet where I was supposed to sleep. We contacted the reception and explained the situation. A few minutes later, a staff member brought new sheets, but we had to change all the bedding ourselves. When we asked for a new duvet cover as well, we were told they would not provide one unless it was visibly dirty. We did not receive any refund or discount despite complaining.     Average hotel that have seen better days. Great location but that’s all. The window that could be opened was not possible to completely shut, making a shill breeze throughout the night.
