    On a quiet road but just one street back from the canal.

    My sister and I stayed here a few weeks ago and I’ve been meaning to post a review ever since. The hotel is literally one street back from the canal where you can have a boat ride, but at the same time it is on a very quiet street with no noise at all. The hosts were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was continental with everything you could wish for, and good quality ingredients.

    Great location for main sights. Quiet and comfortable boutique hotel in traditional style. Continental breakfast which was perfect for us. Friendly staff. Luggage storage on day of departure was not a problem which allowed us another few hours of sightseeing. We really enjoyed a pleasant stay here.

    Lovely hotel near the centre of Bruges

    We spent two nights here during a cycling tour of Flanders. The hotel is just round the corner from the Petit Venice cafe-bar in the centre of Bruges, it has a nice feel to it and was clean throughout. The host was lovely, helpful and told us they have just taken over and are planning some upgrades starting with the dining room. We were on the top (third) floor which had a great rooftop view, the stairs were a little steep in the normal way of the age of the building, there was a lift which we didn't use. Our double room was a good size, clean and comfortable, the en-suite was shower over bath. The buffet breakfast had everything we needed including freshly made tea and coffee. We would definitely make this our first choice hotel next time we're in Bruges.

    We stayed here for 4 nights over the Xmas period. It was just as we had expected from the reviews we had read previous to our trip. The owner, Brend, is truly a funny guy, but also a great, hard working host, very helpfull. We had a great time here. If you are expecting 5 star surroundings for 3 star money, then forget it. What you will get however, is fantastic hospitality, a clean room, with a fantastic comfy bed, complete with a tv and tea making facilities. The hotel is tucked away just literally a short walk from the main town square. The nearby car park costs €15 per 24hours of parking, which is a lot cheaper than having your car towed away, as they are very strict on the parking regulations in Belgium. For a “homely” get away, I would fully recommend this hotel.

    Great location and very comfortable, perfect for a short break.The rooms and parts of the hotel are a bit tired in places, but it is a charming hotel with tasteful decor.The host is wonderful, very friendly, very helpful.Breakfast was good, just the right amount, very attentive with tea and coffee etc too.Rooms have tea/coffee makers which was good too.All area are very clean.It is in a superb location, minutes from the main square, a cut through to the tanners square with lots of bars/restaurants and close to the canals.
