    Still Renovating, but a Very Lovely Hotel

    Under construction and going to be a lovely hotel very soon. The rooms were great with a comfortable king size bed, nice sheets, and very nice bathroom. The lobby and staff were very friendly, helpful, and nice. The location was outstanding. It was just a 3 minute walk to the main square in Bruges, unless you get distracted by all the wonderful chocolate and beer shops along the way. Definitely take advantage of the lower rates while they are renovating. Highly recommend!

    This hotel is in a great position, overlooking the canals and adjacent to the market place.The hotel was undergoing some extensive refurbishment while we were there, but this was handled well and did not disturb or affect our visit at all.Breakfast was decent if not spectacular and held in a lovely old room looking out over the canal.Our bedroom was spacious but lacked enough wardrobe space and the bathroom really could do with a shower curtain! Otherwise the hotel was fine and visitors need to remember that central Bruges is a world heritage site and therefore changes to buildings are strictly controlled. Finally, the reception staff were very helpful and the hotel car parking is only a couple of minutes walk away. Would recommend!

    I booked this hotel because of the location as a surprise for my husband on his 70th birthday. Regrettably two days before he had a terrible accident, we spent the night in A&E and now await surgery. I immediately contacted Le Mystique restaurant who were utterly utterly helpful in cancelling our reservations and so very kind with their response. I calked Le Shuttle who were equally helpful and kind. I had emailed the Hotel very early this morning to which I had no response so I phoned lunchtime today. I cannot begin to tell you how unsympathetic unhelpful rude and arrogant Johannes the general manager is. He is also the owner of the hotel. This is a small mean Hotel and they have no compassion whatsoever - he was not interested in helping but referred me to fact that I should have cancelled within a couple of days. When I explained that I didn’t know my husband was going to have the accident and as soon as we were able to, we contacted him but certainly more than 36 hours in advance, he could not care less. The man has not 1 ounce of decency in him. Do NOT book in this hotel.

    Great location, strange room

    great location, center near a popular photo spot. Room was enormous, bathroom as large as a hotel room. Bizzarly despite size of room there were no shelves or chest to store clothes, the only hangers were directly above the teapot and associaated material. Don't they understand that travelers come with luggage and clothes? So much wasted bathroom space. Our friend in adjacent smaller room did have some storage. Breakfast was the usual, adequate wiht eggs etc. So 5 stars location, 2-3 stars for room.

    This is in a brilliant location near the water, with excellent views and outside areas (and waffle bar!) that are good to sit at if the weather is ok (or if you are rugged up). The view from our room was part of the experience, the room itself was ok and its size more than you may expect in the middle of the old town. There was a lot of scaffolding and work being done while we were there (perhaps as part of it joining with the hotel next door?). It didn't really affect us (but I am not sure if that would be an issue for some of the rooms). The hotel arranged parking at a parking area a few minutes walk away. While we were given directions, there was a lot of roadwork going on and we found it difficult to work out how to get there. Still we made it in the end, and staying in this spot rather than further away was a good part of the Brugge experience.
