A perfect, relaxing stay in a beautiful hotel with warm hospitality — we couldn’t have asked for more.

    rating10 May 2026

We had a truly lovely stay at Hotel Jacobs in Bruges and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting this beautiful city. The location is fantastic — tucked away in a quiet area just a short stroll from the centre, which meant we could easily explore all the main sights while still enjoying a peaceful night’s sleep. It felt like the perfect balance of convenience and calm. The hotel itself has a charming, traditional feel, full of character and warmth. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The bed was especially comfortable, which made a big difference after a day of walking around Bruges. What really stood out, though, was the friendly and welcoming staff. They were always helpful, happy to offer recommendations, and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived.Breakfast was another highlight — a great selection with something for everyone, fresh and well-presented, and a lovely way to start the day.Honestly, we wouldn’t change a thing about our stay — everything was just right from start to finish.Overall, Hotel Jacobs offers excellent value for money, combining comfort, location, and genuine hospitality. We would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Bruges.

A lovely quiet hotel, 5 minutes from the busy square.

    rating21 Feb 2026

The hotel is situated in a fantastic location, about 5 minutes walk from the shops and square. It has a lovely atmosphere on entry, lovely lighting and decor. The room was lovely. We had a 3rd floor (top) room which was very nice. Plenty of storage, towels, lovely comfy bed, tea/coffee facilities. The square pillows were a little odd but functioned fine. A great value room with a nice view across the rooftops. The room was also lovely and clean and nice and quiet. The staff at the hotel were always very polite and friendly. Breakfast was delicious, with enough variety to keep us all satisfied. The pastries were delicious.

    Would Stay Here Again

    rating27 Sept 2025

Nice hotel in a quiet street a little bit away from the crowds. Our room was a decent size, the bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of hot water, all good things. Staff was very pleasant. Lack of vegetables at breakfast was our only concern.

    All round pleasant stay

    rating14 Jun 2025

All of the staff are friendly, helpful and personable. Location is good if not a little easy to lose your bearings walking the streets! Our room was a reasonable size with good facilities, but it was hot and stuffy and difficult to regulate the temperature... I didn't like having to download an app to my phone to be able to switch the ceiling fan on. When you open the windows mosquitos find their way in. The breakfast was limited, but overall it's a decent hotel!

Perfect for families. Location is great if you are driving.

We were very impressed by Hotel Jacobs. We stayed here last week after a last-minute decision to get away for an impromptu night away for half term. I like the location. While it is in the old town, it is just outside the main centre but a very pleasant, 5-7 minute walk through my favourite, quieter end of town. But that makes it VERY easy to drive to and park up outside the hotel to off-load (and later collect) our bags. The desk staff were extremely helpful on arrival and throughout our stay. They were more than happy to go out of their way to help in whatever way, make recommendations for places to see and bars and restaurants to visit, etc., and confirmed that the Boogschutterslaan car park was a perfectly good (and free!) place to park. I had my bike on the roof of the car and the car park was only a 5-7 minute (pleasant) cycle to the hotel. I suspect there might be a bus service into the centre of town from the carpark, but I didn't check or need this.We had booked a quadruple room, and I have to say it is one of the nicest family rooms we have stayed in, anywhere. The room was made up of two interconnected rooms, both of which were of a very good size: perfect for getting the girls to bed in one while we have a beer-nightcap from the perfect little bar downstairs in the other. It is definitely worth paying a little extra to get the much bigger room. The beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom was huge with a lovely walk-in shower. Everything was spotless. We arrived early, but the desk manager was happy for us to book in then, and while the room was not quite ready at that point (he did check), we had a message not too long later to say we could get our room at any point from then. Meanwhile, they were more than happy to let us leave our bags in their storage room, as well as on the second day when we left.Breakfast was superb, with a fantastic range of fresh bread, fruit, pastries, and all the usual cereals, etc., as well as perfectly cooked scrambled eggs and back bacon. We had a lovely stay and our only issue (regret) is that we didn’t book at least another night. Until the next time, as we will be back....
